Designers Involved With Charity Work/activism?

i was just curious if any designers or fashion companies were involved with charity work or activism? the thread on fair-trade clothing by bono's wife just got me thinking about this.

I know Stella McCartney does a lot of work for Peta because she's a vegan, though I wish she'd rethink it. Nonetheless she's an inspiration to me since I'm doing menswear design and am also a vegan.
