Detail And Craft

more Gaultier ss04

ps. all made up from leather cords

Strawberry,I like what I see from that first skirt :flower:

Lena, that Ungaro looks wickedly painstaking,if you're talking about that beaded number. Can you imagine spending that much time working on such a thing? That would take months and months to complete.

That patchwork Gaultier that igni* posted, for some reason reminds me of a previous Kokosalaki collection. Do you guys remember which one?

I dont think Sophia did this style Scott,
it was actually presented by Gaultier himself before
(03 HC collection) one of his centerpiece ideas for last year.

 hmm not sure, here his own take on this idea from ss03 collection, he's been working on this for sometime now, but i could see a possible Sophia connection

great Gaultier details igni :flower:
i think he's one of the most 'detail orientated' designer even though i find him a little bit 'heavy' for my taste

I liked Zac's S/S '04 show. ^_^ It was so nice to see a young designer focused on details and techiques rather than hype. The clothes are beautiful too.

Nice ones Igni and Lena** :flower: I agree though about Gaultier, sometimes he is a bit 'too' extravagant.

Here's a couple from Camilla Stærk Fall 2002

Crocheted Lace(much like the Irish style) top attached to a knit(which I am guessing is an old needle technique)bustier

His best show to date, I think.

Scott, that last pic is wonderful. This is turning into one of my favorite threads of all time.
