Casual and soft was the main focus of DeTROIT’s spring lineup. The collection featured an array of softly constructed jackets, lightweight and sheer shirts with flowy and voluminous trousers and an elongated navy trench.

I'm assuming that this is a new brand, being from Michigan myself (unfortunately lol) and with an name like Detroit I sure I would have heard of it before, but anyway on to the collection. There are some interesting pieces in the collection. I happen to like the sheer and flowy shirts and pants. I can see a strong Eastern and Middle Eastern themes here, a bit similar to what Giorgio Armani did some years ago with his line. The first look is bugging me a bit though. I don't hate the obi belt with the suit but I'm not sure if it is giving the impression that the designer was going for, but overall I like it.

P.S. What hell is up with the sunburnt feet? Is that part of the theme, were the models walking in the desert barefoot at high noon without unblock? I'm confused

This is from Robert Molnar. Usually he designs under his own name and shows in Paris and sells in Japan. He is a an indie all the way. This was his first NYFW . Usually his lines are Luxury, yet he does push at the avant-garde sometimes. I believe this was somewhere in the middle for him. Anyway I dig it mostly, but yeah the feet thing was weird. I gotta ask him about it when I see him.
