At 13, this Dutch beauty had been discovered by a model scout. Despite this, Dewi wanted to finish school first. In the modelling industry, a delay to a modellling career is a risk, because most model careers begin early.

However, Dewi was so good, that her agency waited for her till she was 18. Then, she rose to the top. She was brilliant as model for Balmain, Versace and Valentino. And till this day, her successful career curve had not bent. She graces the cover of Elle for the 25th anniversary special. Her favorite city is not Paris or Milan, but Amsterdam - her hometown.

ELLE: How would you describe your personal style?

Actually, I like comfortable clothes the most.

ELLE: Doesn't sound glamorous...

It depends on the situation. For everyday wear, I like to combine clothes I bought from Flea Market with Designerwear. For the evening, one can dress up more glamorously. The only important thing is to dress according to the occasion. Other than for a shooting, I don't like to be dressed up like that.

ELLE: Do you have a beauty secret?

I think it helps to live healthily. I try to do that.

ELLE: That means?

I do lots of Sports and keep a very strict diet. I also drink water generously.

ELLE: What do you have with you when you are travelling?

My Dog Jerry. A moisturizer and good Fashion magazines.
