Well, Escada is a German label and it is rather common for German celebrities to wear it. Flipping magazines, I always notice a lot of them wearing either that or Rena Lange.

Well, Escada is a German label and it is rather common for German celebrities to wear it. Flipping magazines, I always notice a lot of them wearing either that or Rena Lange.

I had no idea Escada was a German label - I thought it was French or Italian - never really thought about it, actually. It doesn't get a lot of press in the states, and even though I am always very disenchanted with their ads here, whenever I see someone wearing Escada IRL, I am always pleasantly surprised.

They cancelled it before the writer's strike finished saying that even if the strike did finish before the Oscars the industry wouldn't necessarily go back to normal straight away and they wanted to respect that. (I just think they wanted to cancel it before they had to send the invites out )
