Diego Fuga was born in Milan, where he started working with art directors and fashion photographers. After High school he was awarded a photography scholarship at G.B.Bauer.
In 1999 he opened his studio in Milan and began cooperating at different levels with brands such as Brioni, Cerruti, Calzedonia, Cappucci, Diesel, Etro, New York Industry, Puma, Reebok, Victor Victoria. His work entails fashion, portraits and fine art: his images have appeared in magazines like Dazed and Confused, Deutsch, Flux, Hint, Italian Vogue Label, Rodeo, Spoon, Sport & Street, Surface and V. In the past year he has worked on two of Maurizio Cattelan's art projects, one of which appeared in the art magazine I Love Museums . His work has been cited in Alias , the art section of Il Manifesto , as an example of young fine art photography. His pictures have been selected for the book “Lo sguardo italiano”, history of Italian fashion photography from 1951 up to today. The book has been edited by Fondazione Pitti Immagine Discovery in collaboration with the Patron of National Chamber of Italian Fashion.
