Digital Retouching...

I posted this link a while ago, but it got lost in all the model threads before we got this fabulous section!

Allow each pic to load then hover your mouse to see the before and after. He makes them all more boobie and bootielicious. It's quite funny, and scary too

We did about this in history class the government does it all time, adds people takes people out etc. It easyily done now with the help of computers,
but they used to do in in the early 20th century, how i dont know ???

In a way touching up those photographs is bad as it is saying a bad message to young girls who are trying to find them selves, and feel they ahve to look perfect 24/7

This makes me so sad . . . it just shows that everything people see and envy in magazines is an unattainable myth. Airbrushing blemishes is one thing, but completely altering the way people look is another . . . I think the second woman's body was beautiful as it was and there was really no need for the drastic airbrushing. After a while it starts to look like a tacky Playboy "perfection".

I like retouching when i am bored, just small blemishes, white dots and wrinkles and stuff. I love cate blanchett, i think she's gorgeous and aging gracefully, i just wanted to see if i could take it to the point most magazines go with this one. save the full sized pictures and view them one after another fast. I've seen pictures of this shoot used on magazines, i didn't exaggerate.

Man, I can't believe this! All these girls seem to have their breasts made bigger, and cellulite reduced :o.
And then our men look at these photos and probably wonder why we don't look like that too . And the worst thing is, that we end up feeling all blehhhhh when we see those mags...yet its all FAKE .

This needs to stop !!! :judge:

I have to agree with you guys, digital touchup gets out of hand. I've had girls ask me to shave off 10 pounds or so but I only shape a little bit and they actually like it. People need to learn to work with what they have. If you're goign to go through all that work touching up, why use the model in the first place?

it's really something to see stuff like this, makes me wonder just how much is up to the photographer, makeup etc etc...? My rule is that I don't want to use photoshop, if I have to edit an image extensively, then I should give up photography right now.
