Dior Gaucho

Style: While it doesn't surprise me that we (as a collective TFS group!) know more than the S/A's (I find that I ALWAYS do), that's just pretty dumb! It's true though that the brown is officially called green but there's NO mistaking red for brown.

I completely agree with you. I presently have both at home with me (debating which one to keep at the moment) and there's no confusing what colors they are. Actually though, contrary to what you wrote above, the "green" is officially called Brown. Just to clarify, Dior lists the 3 official Spring colors in their Look Book and on their Order Form as Red, Brown and White. However, the SA's are the ones confusing them by re-naming them themselves. The boutiques (more than one) seem to refer to them as burgandy, green and off-white. (And the one stupid SA I dealt with insisted to me that my burgandy (Red) was actually the Brown and there was no other brown.) That's fine - whatever. But it does require an unusual amount of patience when ordering them - LOL.

LOL... well now that figures. The S/A I spoke to told me that although the green looks brown, the color is officially called green and that's what's in their books. lolol! I didn't think it sounded right.

See -LOL- now you actually got misinformation too. I saw the Look Book and Order Form with my own eyes now, so I'm going out on a limb here and can truly say that they're officially called Red, Brown and White. I actually insisted on looking at it for just that reason. I swear - this makes me nuts:)

You're not nuts, style! They are brown, red, and white. My friend works at Dior.....she just looked in the book for me. I've noticed SA's are calling the white....cream. I wish they'd just get it together!!!

D'OH! I am totally going with YOUR word since you read it with your own eyes. I don't think ANY of the S/A's read their books!

^ doesn't look so bad there, although I strongly preffer the large.

thanks for the pic :)

Yeah, it looks nice and slouchy which surprised me... the red medium I had didn't slouch at all! Hers looks squishy-soft like the large.

Maybe it'll soften with use and age...the bag looks more khaki than brown in that picture :flower:

i just bought the red medium...its lovely

Congrats missbradshaw!!! It's a gorgeous bag  Enjoy!

I'm desparately searching for a medium red gaucho. Do you mind telling me where you purchased yours from and if they ship to the US? I know the US Dior are expecting another shipment, but i'm afraid I got on the list too late. Plus, i'm too impatient. TIA

Yeah! my first post.

3monkeys: Welcome! I returned a medium red to Saks in Chicago and it may be back on the floor again. I have to say though, the bag had a few minor scuffs on it when I received it. That's not why I sent it back but I thought I'd warn you.

saw the large white gaucho and the brown/khaki tote.

didnt like the tote, and the saddle doesnt seem too practical, but the leather was quite nice:flower:
