Has anyone noticed lately how nothing on eBay is selling for very much at all?

Yeah, I have noticed. I think in part we have Kdog to thank for that, and more recently 'discounted dior homme' for flooding ebay with listings. But I think Kdog's listings also give kind of a misleading impression because even when he offers up bargains, because his listings are so damn f_ed up, people don't bid. So you're left thinking, wow, not even the jeans are selling at 200 bucks what's with that? But then you look and it's Kdog....

yea i was kinda suprised at how widely cut out it was too. i thought it was going to look like the way it does on luisa. but oh well i had this pre ordered so what the hey. jost i also picked up the short trench, the back flap is so amazing, i noticed that they used this slant seam on this trench and on the bolero blazers.

Yeah, I agree it looks more like an apron than a waistcoat... I actually didn´t think it was that widely cut out on the sides, because it looked good from the runway shots. It´s a nice piece if you go for a layered look, but most definitely with a dark jersey underneath, I don´t like the contrasting look with something white underneath.

i really really like the backless waistcoat, i'm thinking about getting it (even though i sooooo dont have the money and i could easily make it) i would probably do a runway / realway styling with that

i liked the shiney rain coat untill i saw it up close (especially from the back  ) so i'm gonna get one similar from vivienne westwood.

i dont really like the jacket above, the seams are dodgey i they're supposed to be pressed open but they're all a bit uneven and twisted, though i like the length oh and the white blazer is soooo nice in person.

here is a better pic of the waistcoat this time tried with a tank, but again not the way i would wear it. victim youre right about how to style it, i think the way its styled on the runway is probably like one of 3 ways to wear this waistcoat, id prolly do the samething. and the side looks mroe cut out when u button it, but if you leave it unbuttoned and tighten the strap in the back it covers most of your sides up to the armpit.

i found this:

paulpdiorhomme54no.jpg

from WWD.

ART & COMMERCE: Hedi Slimane's taking a step deeper into the art world. The Dior Homme designer has collaborated with the up-and-coming Canadian artist known as Paul P. on his spring-summer campaign for the LVMH-owned fashion house. Known for figurative studies, Paul P. drew boys in Slimane's Mod-inspired clothes. The results are juxtaposed with photos of models in the same garments. "I wanted this to be a project between the two of us, in addition to a campaign, " explained Slimane in an e-mail. "It just felt like a rare natural connection." Added Paul P.: "It seems that Hedi and I are attracted to the [same] casual beauty found in nature." Dior isn't saying who took the campaign's pictures, but sources said Slimane snapped the shutter. That hardly would be a surprise. Slimane has spent more time behind the lens lately, publishing a series of photography books, including one recently devoted to British bad-boy rocker Pete Doherty. In January, he is scheduled to have his first solo art show at Almine Rech gallery, in Paris.

i gotta say that guy is pretty handy with a pencil though it doesnt capture the dior homme look at all, i dont like the model either.

...thanks for the article VICTIM :flower:

...I agree, I don't think it captures the Dior Homme look, at least not for this seaon anyway (which could be a good thing). I agree with you on the model as well. His body is all wrong.

I thought the art is pretty damn good. especially the colored one... the graphite one is so so... I wonder how much those art would cost...

If the Dior Signature pieces are already costing$9100 for a simple jacket.. then these art piece would be .... $100K starting???
