Eww, why is Hedi always taking pictures of little teens without shirts, half-naked (maybe naked as well?) - and he can't even do a photo-shoot with one of his boys fully clothed. :yuk:

What's next? Dior Homme twink p*rno, shot by Hedi Slimane?

Or am I way behind...

it was a simple basic beige baseball jacket... thats how I can describe it... I don't subscribe to GQ... I was flipping it at newstand.. and saw it and nearly fell off my feet when I saw the price...

may be someone who has GQ can scan for us...

I believe that jacket is lined with sequines,

i think its this one

^Yes, I was at a bookstore today and after you posted that I decided to look through GQ. It did look better in the magazine than on the runway. Still, I can't say I could justify it if the sequins are mostly hidden. (and thank god for the fact that they are )

Yeah, that's the one, some of us talked about it a few pages back. I don't know how much work goes into it, but a cotton sequin-lined jacket costing 9100!? No wonder one guy said the LV DH store didn't order it. But NY ought to have it later, and I am sure Tokyo will have it, they order everything. And of course, Paris.

...The sequin lining seems like a take on Chanel HC AW 05. All the huge coats used in the show had a tweed and sequined lining, some even with feathers. It is nice but impractical, not to mention uncomfortable.

...Also, I am going to Paris next year, and was wondering if the Dior Homme store in Paris bought everything from the collection, or at least everything that goes into production. Has anyone ever been?

I haven't been there and I'm not sure, but I would think that they bought the entire collection since it's one of the main/flagship stores, no?

hmmm the model doesnt really capture the "mod" look at all.. not even the hair.. altho i would see someone like that on a cloak campaign..that whole dark and brooding look(maybe in the styling) ..yeh i think he would suit cloak better.. but thats just me.

Paris Rue Royale pretty much stock everything... BUT I would say 50% of it is in the stock room and not on the rack. yeah belive it or not. You really have to ask the SA to go back and forth and check. HINT: You also need to know the collection very well. Hence you see lots of lookbooks of accessories etc.. so you will know the full range of it.

Which.. I didn't like their way of working.. very inefficient, and not to mention that makes like 10 people behind you waiting for a SA, so kind of force you to really hurry up(at least I feel weird taking up SA so much time)

I don't understand the meaning or usage of having sequin lined....

as for which DH store will have this jacket... I am surprised that LV DH didn't buy it... of course it is all on demand and supply. DH NYC had a winter trench jacket for $8000 two years ago.. and took them one 40% discount, and the other size more discount (which was available on eBay) to be sold.

It is still one of my fave jacket though..

Come to think of it, compare that trench jacket vs that Dior sequin jacket this season. the trench jacket is so much worth it...

...thanks for the information. :)

That does seem rather strange, but I usually am familiar with the collection, so that shouldn't be a problem. Oh, ans as long as I am planning on buying something, I really have no problem making other people wait.

...Do you know if they stock alot of the smaller sizes?

i dont think rue royale is the only one to do that, even the ny store never puts out everything, maybe like half of the collection is like ont he floor the other half is always in all the closets, so you have to ask to see and know the collection, plus lots of stuff never even makes it to the floor or the closet tcuz of pre orders and such. I mean the people who are going to buy this stuff are the ones who know the brand inside out, and not the random customers who walk by the store and decide to enter.

well.. I blew $10k while I was there... in like an hour and half.. and I still feel bad that other people had to wait. The SA was really really nice although.. I wouldn't say patient.. he was serving like 3 other people on top of me.

I thought I knew the collection inside out... I kept asking the SA guy for past season stuff and he pulls out all these pieces I have never even seen on the runway.. which was so beautiful but out of my budge... each piece was like $4K... although they are leather.. so never think you are a hardcore fan... until you REALLY see their backstock.. hahahha

They do have smaller sizes but they run out really fast.

The other thing you can do is call them up and pre-order before you head there... and then pick the pieces you want.. also save you more time to blow your budge on other brands :innocent:. Which I did..

Have fun in Paris... I did... hahahha.

yeah NY store does the same.. but their collection is definitely not as extensive as rue Royal.

also.. seeing double.. I don't know when you are heading over there... you might want to check out Printemp and Galeries Lafayette. They do carry DH stuff too.. as well as Barbara Buisa... sometimes they have stuff on discount more then DH store... :flower:

Thanks:flower: ...I have been saving up for this trip forever, or at least it seems like it. I am ready to blow through some cash.

...and if you don't min, one more question. Were all the pieces from the previous seasons just coats and signature items, and were they only in larger sizes? Thanks again:D
