...and if you don't min, one more question. Were all the pieces from the previous seasons just coats and signature items, and were they only in larger sizes? Thanks again:D

Well.. the stuff that I was after were coats and Jacket and signature piece that I can collect... I didn't ask for other stuff like shirts, or accessories... actually alot of those pieces were in smaller sizes... when they were cut slimmer and smaller so you might have luck there.

I saw an a necklace... which is a cigarette holder, like strip collection.. it was for $900:blink: and it is not even sterling silver... I love it... but couldn't justify paying that much for a necklace I know I am going to wear like once a year...

I still miss that necklace... :(

does rue royale really stock the most pieces? i always thought avenue montaigne was the biggest store in france, even my SA at rue royale made it sound that way. whenever i asked him about a piece they didnt have have, he always said "let me call the big store and see if they have it"

ill post tomorrow afternoon, gotta charge up the camera batteries

Edk, do you mind posting pics of the short trench? Thanks.

i was just looking back at hedi slimane's first collections for dior homme and find that indeed there was something quite unique in them... but as he progresses with more and more fame the collections have become less and less interesting, even unimaginative and boring... just almost literally direct 'copies' of his 'idols' from music... sigh... is this what fame does to a person? frankly, i think if he puts a bit more effort and focus on really developing excellent tailoring and details and material dior homme would be a much more revered label rather than its current becoming more and more marginal and referential to very select cliques...

plus, what's all the fuss about his extracurricular activities? what's the big deal about his photography of backstage scenarios from concerts etc? no clear vision, nothing much to say, kinda polariod snaps... and his furniture??? donald judd and all minimalist copies...

i used to be a big fan but have been increasingly dissapointed with each new season, each new 'project' to find them ultra-lame and boring, only to be super-fussed about by various media...

anyway, would love to hear responses and reactions.

I am really really tired of this David Bowie's guide to living and honestly, why bother buying it? Just go to thrift shops and save a lot of $$$ plus get the real look. Some of the items might even be of better fabrics than of DH.

Dior homme paris

Hi,

Im going over to Paris on the 10-11th of jan. I have been told this is the start of the sales. Can anybody confirm this?
Also, those that have visited the store recently, did you notice if they had much of this seasons knits left. I am looking for the black v necked bead flecked knits. What about leathers? size 46s?

thanks...

I like how it says "compatible with Fender Stratocaster", but the guitar in the case is an Epiphone Les Paul...not even the expensive Gibson version.

I'd bet money that some idiot somewhere is going to buy a guitar just so he can buy this Dior case.

They start on the 11th January - together with all other stores as the date is set by the french government. (They must all end on the 21st February)
