I wonder if Karl Lagarfeld would have done his diet if he knew Dior had such large sizes :p

I know Karls knows better, I was just joking. I'm even surprised Hedi Slimane agreed to such large sizes because it just doesn't make sense at all.

Well.. that was what i felt at first... but then as they got a little bit "worn in" they would feel very comfortable...

i'm sorry that you didn't feel this way... well after all you bought those in a canvas version... i wouldn't know how you would feel in those, now would i?

You can't really generalize.. our feets are not shaped in the same way, so naturally it is a different experience from individual to individual..

... STORM .. as in Copenhagen?

Yeah well, I'm glad you had a better experience than Lee and I :p
It's a bit surprising though. One would think the canvas version would be softer and more comfortable from the start, compared the the leather ones. Oh well. They're nice now, so I'm not one to complain. I adore them! I'm just sad they didn't have my size in white leather. They ARE cooler!

"STORM as in Copenhagen?" - Look at my 'location' and guess :p :D
Nice sale this time. They emptied some of the montres, sold some ancient Dior Homme accessories discounted 50%, white high-tops and pretty much all other shoes discounted 30-60% also + pants, sweaters, tshirts etc.

Just popped down to Joyce boutique in Hong Kong today.

OMG!!! I thought Yahoo! Japan was expensive!

the beaded sweaters V-neck costs about 3500 HKD after discount!
the shetland wood is terrible (first time i hv "felt" it), I could get myself 2-3 John Smedley for that price.

very disappointed.

couple of suits on sale. about USD1500+ each.!!! ouch!

some rare 40P suits jackets. some how not on sale....about 2400 USD

cant believe the mark ups!?

I left without getting anything at all. all the other stuff they stock are sh*t! they looked like second hand, or at least tried on my 50 poeple.

I guess I will stick with my yahoo Jap and ebay.....

The sales thought I must be some loaded guy cos I came in with my wax jeans and tux jacket, "almost" full DH style.
She must be disappointed I didnt buy anything......

*****
Apparently a new DH store will open in Hong Kong around July, can anyone confirm this???

^ to bad man:( but at least you have a store that stocks dior homme, as far as i know there isn't one in a'dam so.....

5-Hour Man : You didn't have any "location" on yesterday.. so that's why i asked... Well, i guess i know who you are ;) You've finally found your way to tFS...

DoDo999 : I thought i read an article about a DH store under construction in HK.. should be up by late summer/autumn.... can't wait to visit that store :woot:

I noticed that, actually. I was just too lazy to make a post apologizing, sorry. Well, I have a couple of old accounts, but my visits on this boards are quite seldom, so I tend to forget my username/pass word each time. I think I know who you are too, hah! Actually I was wondering about it last night, because of the initial letters of your user name, but the name in your profile did not quite match, so ... Have I guessed right? :p

Now we're at it... Do you also know Basilmus aka. Magnus?

Baizilla said:
No i don't know Magnus.. who's that?

Magnus aka. Basilmus here. A Danish DH-lover, actually the guy who started the other DH thread. I thought you might know him, seeing that both of you frequent this board, like DH and are from Copenhagen. Well, apparently not.

Well.. i don't know him personally.. i think he wrote a PM to me.. at some point

Yeah.. DH-lover.. about that.. I don't think i'm as much in love with DH as i used to be... i'm planning to take my money elsewhere... but let's just see what he brings to the table @ F/W 2006.. :flower:

Cool... did you get anything from the sales?

STORM:
One of the old DH belts they had in the montre for years, don't know which name/season/collection whatever, along with a similary old wristband which originally was outragely priced(2.000 DKK [330 USD] - no wonder it had been in that montre for so long, it is not worth anything near 2.000 DKK) now down to 1.000 DKK, if I recall correctly. A black/silverwhite striped Dries van Noten skinny tie (not on sale) and a cell-phone-strap-dongle thingy from Chloé (It was so cute a couldn't help buying it for a future girl friend ).

Woodwood:
2 Comme des Garcon PLAY t-shirts. Cheap and a bit boring, but since I started working out I haven't been able to wear any of my old t-shirts, so I really needed to re-stock.

B. Christensen:
Plain grey merino knit.

UNU:
Green/yellow/blue striped D&G(Or is it Dolce&Gabbana? I don't remember.) t-shirt. It's very 'summerly', so I doubt I'd be wearing it much for the next few months.

Jacob bought 2-3 pairs of shoes, a sweater(Or was it two?), a t-shirt, a belt + more, all from DH ...

Damn I'm tired, I missed the first half of your post.

Well, I don't like the newer collections too much either (I can't see myself in any of it, pretty much.) but is there anything else interesting out there right now? Mind you, I'm stuck in Copenhagen most of the time, so unlike you I can't take a trip to HK and buy what ever cool-avantgardish gear you find down there. ^_^

Cool cool... B)

All i managed to get was a pair of glitter sneakers...

ParisTexas is getting Raf Simons, Number (N)ine & CLOAK.. :buzz:

Oh that's good, more stuff I can't afford. I checked the CLOACK(Is it really all uppercase, or are you just in love? :p ) runway on men.style.com and really liked it. Do you have any idea about the price? And are they going to stock it for this season already?

Btw., those 'indian'shoes you've got, are they the same was the Wimwim's(Aren't they called that?) they've got in ParisTexas? The new ones look really cute(Hey, I know it sounds gay but they ARE cute!).

EDIT: Crap, I have now edited 5 times to make the smileys work!!

At little off topic, but anyway....

KrisVanAssche.

quite impressed actually, after my recent disappointment with the quality of DH clothes.

I purchased 2 KVA pieces, they were on sale....

1) v-neck wool sweater with a "scarf" feature.... quite similar to the scarf hoody by DH.... was gonna buy the V-neck with ripped collar but only size M or L was left..... cost ~290 USD (40% off)

2) tailored vest with pockets (see pic below). **its very very fitted** I usually wear 42P/44P with DH, I couldnt fit into their size 44!!! I wore a tee and couldnt button it up... lol!!! the runway model wears the vest as its a size too small, i dont like the scrunched up look at the waist, it wrecks the whole tailoring effect of the vest.
it must be the first time I bought something in size 46..... but anyway, very nicely tailored, quite a straight cut, definitely not as slim or, dare i say, feminine as DH. perfect with just a white tee and DH suit.

cost ~410 USD. (50% discount)

quality for both pieces are top notch. the wool sweater is no cashmere, but pretty much as good as u can get with these hi-end brands. still prefer John Smedley's Merino wool tho.

overall, much better than DH's fall/winter stock- excluding suits as KVA suits are quite poorly structured and cut.

tho the price (b4 discount) is way over the top for a "newbie", but compared to the ridiculous markups of DH at Joyce boutique, its a "bargain" during sale.

better still, the sales (@ Harvey Nics) said they only stock several pieces per style (~1 per size), so its quite exclusive, not likely u will bump into someone with the same outfit! like today, I saw a kid wearing DH Hi-cut leather sneakers, paired with frickin hip-hop sh*ts. :yuk: :yuk:

what u guy's thoughts on KVA???
