I agree with u on the rest of the KVA stuff.

the suits and jackets are just not level as DH.

tho they hv a nice biker leather jacket, very soft nappa leather.
about 15000 HKD (50% off). definitely better value than DH leather jkt, and cutting is super tight! didnt buy it tho.

but i looooove the multi-pocket wasitcoat I bought.... but u were rite, the cutting is a bit weird.... length is ok for me as i m quite short and skinny..

definitely the highlight of my trip in Hong Kong!

Cloak: nothing strikes me at alll. felt like poorly made Ann-Dem pieces. maybe just the stock they had at Harvey Nics.

^ you didn't try on any Cloak jackets?

nah just the blazer, there was another grey blazer but didnj't have my size. I took a look at some of the detailed coats and they weren't my style at all so i wasn't even gonna bother.

that leather biker jacket is nice, the last time i was in HN it was still 40% off but still way too pricey, i was boggled at how expensive some of the stuff was. The plain waistcoat with no details was like $4900!!! wtf...

i kinda agree with you on Cloak the construction feels a bit amateur-ish...def. not on par with Ann Dem. That knit biker style sweater from AD was awesome, it was all over IT stores and nobody was buying it. What a shame.

oh yeah you gotta check out the latest cover of Jessica magazine, Eason Chan is wearing that fair isle print shetland wool sweater by Raf Simons with a black waistcoat over. Truly horrendous. Speaking of Raf Simons, i was really disappointed with what IT bought...only notable item was a black military button down shirt, looked great off the rack, a disappointment when worn on the body. Pockets too close to each other.

HK fashion boutiques have the worst selection of footwear. There was an awesome pair of black hi-tops at Y's, however, reminds me of early DH footwear/classic Helmut Lang shoes (before HL shoes were dominated by the Bertellization with logos and all). Unfortunately didn't have my size (nowhere in HK has my size, since i'm a 12 :ninja:)

Did they stock other nice Ann Dem pieces.. apart from that biker style sweater?

There were several amazing pieces from the F/W 05 runway that i have been crushing for a while... :crush:

haha same here! i'd love to get some of that stuff as well....might have to go to the flagship store in antwerp when they get new stock...

nah unfortunately not much good Ann Dem stuff...just tees and plain button down shirts, there was a pretty good deconstructed style, kinda wrinkled blazer but only small size left.

damn... how sad

HK was my only chance to get some of those F/W 05 pieces...

I'm so excited right now! There might be comming a store to Finland that sells Dior Homme! Although I'm currently in USA I'll be going back to Finland in about 6-7 months! And they are gonna start to stock it in f/w 06 :) finnally something good comming to Finland!

recently noticed this alexander mcqueen blazer which is pretty similar to the dior homme one i got.

Fadetoblack:

the waist coat with pocket i got for 3200 now. 1 or 2 left only!
definitely worth looking. great tailoring.

well, my trip to HK is certainly a disappointment this yr.
my visit to Joyce and IT had me leaving empty handed.

the markup is just wrong! I remember 2-3 yrs ago, when Joyce only started stocking DH. I could've picked up a 40P jacket for like 3700 (@ final sale)!!!!

it was too small so i didnt buy it (i wear 42P-44P at least).

now a 40P jacket doesnt even go on sale! tagged 19000!

IT store is just pathetic. all this BS Underground sh*t they put out. and the Garcons shirts are getting boring as ever!

IT is targetting a younger crowd as they cant compete with Joyce or Harvey Nics for the really Hi-end brands. and some stuff they stock at IT is just horrendous. even at 80% off they would hv trouble stocking.
Bikkembergs??? come on!! I was wearing that when I was @ uni ! (a good 8 yrs now).....

and they need to get some decent interior designers here..... Joyce Central is like a frickin Joyce warehouse, racks everywhere! feels like an upmarket G2000 store. the IT concept store they had in Central was fresh, but now they closed it down.....

i mean, jsut look at the IT share prices.... hahaha!!

I really hope the HK DH store will have reasonable prices on par with US or Paris. lets keep our fingers crossed.

i think it would be @ the flagship Dior (womens) store at Canton road.

not 100% sure tho.

i hope its a stand alone store, not next to the ladies Dior...
all those logomaniacs drive me mad!

well... if it is with the ladies store at Canton Road...

it's a good thing, i guess... it would be like the Dior/DH store at Rue Royale...

Does anybody for sure know when the Dior Homme store is gonna open in London and where?

^ are they opening a proper store? so does that mean they'll get rid of the selfridges and harrods shop in shops? that means there will be loads of places that stock dior allready there are 4 with pretty good selections.

The only thing I know, I was told in the dior shop in selfridges, that a Dior Homme store is gonna be open in London during 2006. But I do not know the precise date and where its gonna be situated, so if anybody knows that, I would really like to know, because I can't wait:bounce:

...yesterday I picked up a s/s 06 waistcoat...I think the same one as edk...I love it:D ^_^

...but looking back at edk's picks...I find mine fits a bit differently. Mine covers more of the rib area...but maybe that is just his pictures. :)

If they did make size 42 jeans, that would equate to size 58 dress pants. Christ, do they even make size 58 suits?
I saw a pair of old season jeans on eBay in European size 56 a while back.

The new sh*t on Eluxury is complete sh*t. Look at it! Jesus, it's plain boring crap. A heather grey sleeveless sweatshirt with stupid print and a bunch of boring-*** shirts. Knock off a couple hundred bucks from the price of each piece and...well, I still wouldn't buy it. No one would buy that stuff for those prices if they didn't know it was Dior Homme.

The S/S 05 sneakers are lined in silver calf skin. The lo-tops do take getting used to. I have a bit of blood in the back of one of mine. The hi-tops are fine.

I wear a sz 9.5 in Dior Homme sneakers... and sz 9 in a pair of Helmut Lang lace-ups...

so i would assume that HL runs smaller than DH...

I don't know if someone's said this already, but Helmut's sizing was different...sizes were marked one size down. So you wore a Helmut size US 10 and a DH 9.5, which makes sense since DH runs big.

I think that's right.
