old lady-ish?... ...on the contrary...i would say these are really young and super trendy...i think anyone over 30 would have a hard time wearing them... :flower:
Over 30????? OMG. That's insane... So Sarah Jessica Parker would never be able to step foot in these? Do you actually thing that 30 year olds an't wear "young and super trendy" stuff? That's crazy talk.

BTW, these are super cute shoes! [/b][/quote]
listen...i am neither crazy nor insane...i am, however, 37 yrs old and i stopped wear super trendy stuff around 35-36 (i look very young for my age)...there is a point at which it is simply time to 'grow up'...stop dressing like alittle girl and dress like a grown woman...nothing wrong with it...it's actually quite fun...

doesn't mean i don't like the stuff, but it's just not for someone my age...there is such a thing as 'age appropiate'...and i didn't say 'no one' could ever wear them after 30...i said they would have a hard time...and i believe they would...not everyone is sarah jessica parker...(and let's face it...she looked ridiclous at least 1/3-1/2 of the time on that show anyway)...pat fields isn't exactly the arbitor of style and aging gracefully...

btw-how old are you?... :flower:

I guess a definition of "super trendy" has to be defined, as well as "age appropriate".... If super trendy is a skirt that barely covers your behind, well I'm not sure who that's appropriate for (in my opinion). And if grown woman is a black man suit with massive shoulder pads and a fluffy white doily blouse then there has to be some expansion of the definitions.

If we're talking a great pair of funky shoes, well I think just about anyone (any age) could pull them off. Who's to say that those little white shoes couldn't be worn by Oprah. Isn't she like 50? Or my mom for instance (in her 40's)... They're adorable.... I don't understand why anyone over the age of 30 would not be allowed to wear these shoes. Perhaps there is something I'm missing out on here. :(

BTW, I happen to adore 90% of what SJP wore. As well, if there was anything that show did was redefine what 30 could be...

But at the end of the day different styles appeal to different people. Surely we've all picked up on that just in this forum. I just don't like it when other people make these generalizations that such and such thing is restricted to this age group, etc, etc... And I guess I make generalizations too when I say it's NOT restricted to an age group.... It's all about being and idividual, whatever that is....

Oh, and I'm 24.

hahah...i think a skirt that barely covers your *** is just 'trashy'...no matter your age...and i think a 'power suit' is just out of style and boring ...

i think we actually agree more than disagree...we're just coming at it from different perspectives-below 30 and above 30..
i think you'll find that there really does come a time when you have to put away 'super' anything...super sexy, super cute, super trendy...or you could wind up looking super silly...and nobody wants that :ninja: ...not to say you have to give up everything fun...just that you have to balance it a bit more...

you can get away with pretty much anything when you're young...i hope everyone's enjoying themselves and taking advantage of all their options...

and no one's saying that anyone is 'not..allowed' to wear anything...i only suggest that it becomes more difficult to wear certain things as one matures...

i wish i could still dress the way slinky vagabond does...for example...but i would look like a right fool... i look more and more like my mother everyday... :flower:

nice to meet you dr.shoegal...enjoyed yr post...

Thanks guys. ;) I'm gonna get them. Should I buy white, black, red, or patent black? Do you think they go well with boot cut?

I like them, there are a pair of patent leather Christian Louboutin's in red that I own that look just like that... :flower:

Anything but patent... IMO.

They will go with most anything if you can carry it off. It's all in the styling! :flower:

o Sarah Jessica Parker would never be able to step foot in these?

SJPs a wrinkly old trout anyway...who cares...
You took my quote out of context...

Second, I care. I think she's fantastic! And I think she would wear these shoes.

i wouldnt wear them myself.. i dont like the
'caught-in-between' pointy and round toe style.
its a bit timid, maybe that's what annoys

(or make them look 'oldish' ;) )

WHAT?? anyone over 30.. are you for real! I'm turning 29 and I'll wear anything I please.. what does age have anything to do with it? I understand after a while you may want to wear shoes/heels that you may feel are more appropriate, however an age limit should not be enforced on a style of shoe.

Just my 2 cents.. :innocent:
