A friend asked me if I own a pair of Dr. Martens and I was like...''Nooooooohhh!'', he suggested I buy pair. He thinks they'd really ''complete me''. :S

I would get some, but I'd feel so short with them on! I love my heeeels.

Personally I haven't seen anyone in the states with those bad boys on, but I've noticed they started appearing more and more on fashion blogs. I think they will be the latest addition on my to get list. +The patent heeled docs are gorgeous! Could anyone tell me how they fit?

I have a pair of Docs unfortunately though they have steel toe caps and can be really uncomfortable for the 10 mins but after that they are super with a pair of jeans and a dark jacket! maybea beret!

They run big, I think very slightly bigger than regular Docs. They're suuuuuuper comfortable though.

Also, if anyone wants to see how they look with clothes/different looks, the opening ceremony website abounds with pictures of them with various looks.

I'm debating of buying my first docs... The only thing that is holding me back is that I'm only 5'2". I'm worried that they'd make me look shorter than I am but I've seen some average girls (I mean not models) pulling these off really well so it makes me wanna get them even more! Would they look bad on a short girl like me? Also, I was thinking of getting the 8 eye boot in black, then I found this zipper version and now idk which one to get. I wanna wear them all season long so which one should I get? Lastly, how do docs sizing run? Many people say that they run larger, but idk which one they're talking about b/c there are unisex and women's sizes... Help me out, por favor?

Personally, I prefer the laces over the zipper ^ It's more classic DMs.
They run pretty small I'm a size 7.5-8 in US sizes and I wear a 5 UK. I actually purchased the wrong size at first. I hope that helps a bit.

Im only 5 foot & I dont think they make me look shorter... then again I dont mind being short so I wouldnt care if they did lol I just love them.

i agree with taylorkristiina, i definitely like how the docs look with laces better than the zipper. to me the zipper looks more like just an ordinary shoe rather than docs.

I think the zip and the lace give two very different looks. With shoelaces you get a more punkish, rock feel to it, while the zip is a tad more "sophisticated" (i know I probably misspelled that but it's two a clock in the night, sorry!). So it's up to you and your style what you think will look best
