Doc Martens revival

right i need advice! i bought a pair of size 6 uk 1460 8 holes, i'm a size 6.5/7 uk and i've polished them and worn them for a few hours but they're tight where the tongue meets the toe, around the top of my foot. I bought them from a local shop and don't know if they will let me exchange them as i polished them. They also might be a bit tight around my toes widthways, but i can't really tell.

Do you think the store would let me exchange them?

and has anyone else had this problem?


Please reply quickly if you can because i only have 4 days left to try and exchange them!

I have a pair of their Mary Janes and used to have the classic lace up black shoe but wore them to death.

and remember from my first pair that they take a while to break in. The pair I have now took me a long time to get comfortable in and I put them in a bag and took a hammer to them to get them to feel more comfortable. Once they feel lived in though they are addictive.

I've never owned the boots but see if you can exchange them. They may loosen up over time but the store should be able to help you.

I love Docs!!! 90's grunge is my absolute favorite style. I had 3 pairs when I was 9 years old. 1460 8 hole smooth black, smooth green and smooth burgundy. I loved them sooo much. Eventually they went out of style and my mother gave them away but I just bought some new smooth black ones! Such a staple

Are they vintage? The only purple DMs I can find are way brighter in color, but what I love about the ones linked is the smokey, soft shade the have ..

Over here in liverpool the staple shoe of the season seems to be the doc martin lace up shoe, clumpy and totally ugly really if were honnest.. its amaizing how they have been made to look stylish and orginal, think im going to have to get my camera out and take some pics..!
