^^ i don't like the silver knee highs so much, but i don' think they're necessarily horrible. they just seem a little bit dated to me.

my favorite version of the doc martens are the classic black ones, the floral ones, and any of the light color ones (white or iridescent yellow).

yeah that's excatly what I was thinking. I have a feeling that I would wear them a few times & then be totally sick of them. I think I'll stick to my classic black ones.

as soon as I get money, I'm getting floral ones. I wear my black 8 eyes almost every day, and they are a year old. They look brand new! I wore the boots when I was a kid in the early 90's, then maryjanes in middle school. In high school we wore uniforms but I wore red oxfords-they were so cool.

So yea, Doc marten lover since birth!

Finally got my first pair, they fit really well and look cool (really need breaking in though). So excited to wear them.

I got my first pair about 5 months ago, they took a while to walk in so that they didn't rub my feet but now are GREAT, they will last forever so a great investment!

i have standard black 8-ups from 2003. a really odd time to buy them because they were completely out of fashion and i actually really struggled to track down a pair.
i bought them because they'd be hard wearing gig shoes and at the time i had nothing else appropriate for gigs and pits. they also doubled well as work shoes under pants.

really loving that they're back in fashion now, definitely money well spent.

also lusting hard after a pair of 24-ups but for some reason can't justify the $350-odd for them, even though i know they'll last forever.

I wear size UK 8, but bought a mens 6 (don't ask). Although they don't exactly make my feet look small, I quite like how they look. I'm 5'6 so this helps slightly.
