Don't waste your money on...

What products have you tried and would NOT recommend? I know it's not such a big deal when you buy something at the drugstore but I'm sure nearly everyone bought something at the counter on a whim and IT SUCKED.

Save your fellow sista from wasting their money!

Let's see...some things i have bought and hated...

ANYTHING from the "mira" line at eckerd...especially the "eye glossy" (eye glosses can be cool, but this one just sucked)!

Rimmel Eyeshadows (some people say they love them, i think they are not intense enough)

umm...I usually research most higher-priced things I buy so i'm not disappointed with most of the purchases i make at Sephora, etc... one thing i did get and sort of disliked was a palette from Urban Decay...it's great idea but there is a sparkly eyeshadow that got in the lipglosses...unfortunately i don't like most of hard candy's makeup or the palm palette with its separate lids would be a great idea. I love palettes because I'm always going somewhere...

Don't buy Wet n Wild's dual pencil sharpener.

Invest. In. Quality.

All this tool did was waste my pencils. (but I like their lipliners! hehe)

Salon Selectives Hair Molder Thingee (can't remember the name, but the jar is bright lime green). Really hard to use, makes your hair sticky, hard to get off your hands and it just weighs down your hair.

Aveda Mascara plus Rose.. ack supposedly doesnt smudge, but it smudges horribly!! if you dont want to look like a racoon, i suggest you stay away from this product

The products I did not like:

~The entire Neutrogena Pore Minimizing line: it didn't do a thing for me
~St. Ives Apricot Scrub: I know some people like this, but it wasn't gentle enough for me
~Jergens Shave Minimizing Lotion: again it didn't do much for me
~The entire Pantene Pro-V line: all their shampoo and conditioners have the same exact ingredients and all they do is weigh my hair down

My one thing I was really unhappy w/ is the new Venus Razor. I usually use the Gillette Mach 3 for Men (I'm a girl!) and it works great, but the blades can be pricey to replace so I decided to give the Venus a try, I get a Much better shave w/the mach 3. No Venus!!

I second that!!! I've used Mach 3 for a few years now, and when Venus was released I decided to try it.. but it's nothing compared to mach 3.

i agree on rimmel eyeshadows it is impossible to get intensity even if you layer it up. i would say that prods that are a waste are
- chanel pastels lumiere- just DON'T WORK- they are hard to apply and are annoying 'i've been punched in the face' colours.
- benefit flamingo fancy- goes all over your clothes
there are others but i ca't think right now

Just say no.

Sure it gets the make up off, but how do you get the remover off? It was so oily!

Hi, i'm new here what a fun site! anyway, i'd say not to waste your money on:

Nivea shimmer lotion. this is not very 'shimmery' nor moisturizing. it has an overpowering scent, too.

Kors leg shine; this was a complete waste for me. may as well be a solid perfume. no 'slick shine', and only a few sad little shimmer particles left behind.

agree about Venus razor--Mach 3 is the best!

Dont waste your money on any product that claims that it will get rid of your spots, most of them will either make them worse, or make your face really red and sore with the spots still on your face........!

I second dolce w/the shimmer lotion from nivea. ewwww... I tried it yesterday at the drug store (just helped myself to a sample) and it did make me have a nice sheen... for about 2 minutes but the smell stayed w/me a lot longer and it's so overpowering, it really made me gag.
I use the nivea q10 which also has the scent but not nearly as strong. Ewww... it was horrible. A big NO for Shimmer!!

well i find that covergirls eyeshadows crease and flake away quick definetly not worth the buy! (maybe thats why they were on sale! :? )

agree with drama_queen about CG shadows. Actually, i dislike most drugstore shadows as they are not pigmented well, and do not last long at all. this is the reason they are, and remain, so cheap ($4-6). it's not all about packaging--Longo and Stila aren't packaged that great, but they last much longer and show more color.

I'm not a huge fan of some of the John Frieda products.

One in particular, the Funky Chunky...I do like it, but for about three times less the money and five times the quanity I can pick myself up some styling gel and it'll do the trick.

Another Frieda product is the gold gloss in the circe can, can't think of the exact term for it...it leaves my hair lookng greasy and left my hair looking nowhere near gold...
