I like J. Crew. Some of its clothes have pretty good quality and fit.
It's a mass brand, you just need to find something that fit you and stick with them.
I like the progression that J. Crew has made.

WWD just reviewed J Crew's fall/07 collection and thought it has Balenciaga influence.

it seems she was only under mentorship from Drexler. she now has her own secondary line that is only priced slightly under her own line. its not cheap.

i would not be surprised if she ghost-designed a few things for jcrew that we didnt know about.

this is why anna wintour remains one of the most powerful women in the world. in this time of economic crisis, we witness one by one how those to whom anna has shown her favor get help from big business to sustain them through it all. whether it's brooks brothers and thom browne, target and rodarte, or so many others, it's quite noble that these brands that may have otherwise disappeared into the night have white knights to provide them other streams of income until we get back on our feet.

and surely, we've seen, no matter the economic trouble, people haven't stopped getting married and haven't stopped having babies.
