Saint Laurent taps Ashdod teen model for catwalk

Dorit Revelis, 15, is Israel's newest face to be picked up by an international fashion house.

Dorit Revelis. The name may not ring a bell just yet but come Paris Fashion Week in late September, this 15-year-old Ashdod resident will be on the tip of the fashion world’s tongues.

Revelis has signed a contract with the Yves Saint Laurent French luxury fashion house for the upcoming season, according to a report on Ynet.


Revelis is the latest Israeli teen to woo the international fashion world.

In 2015, 14-year-old Sofia Mechetner became the new in-house face of Christian Dior in a rags-to-riches story that garnered headlines across the globe.

Both Mechetner and Revelis are from Israel’s Roberto management agency.


Revelis, a 10th grader, is said to bear resemblance to Romanian-Israeli model Michaela Bercu in her younger years.

Until now, Revelis has appeared in campaigns for IL Makiage, the country’s leading retail chain for professional makeup, and Factory 54, a local clothing chain.

I don't remember her walking YSL.

She is incredibly beautiful but I think it would be better to wait a couple more years minimum. Some of her instagram pictures make me feel quite uneasy about her path... She is just too young.

She's STUNNING. I wish Raf would have kept her as one of his CK girls.
She didn't even walk the show. And as far as I know, he never used her again, after her campaigns last season, which is a shame. (she's very young tho, so I get it. Maybe in a few seasons)

Anyway, she got the Sonia Rykiel FW 2017 campaign! I hope to see more from her soon.
