Do's and Don'ts with Burberry

Prorsum IS eyecandy but the bags leave me cold. They seem to have pinched the equestrian theme from Mulberry. At any rate, Mulberry were using that horsebit detail on their bags aeons ago...

burberry is best worn in combination with sweat pants and reebok classics .for additional style points sweat pants should be tucked into socks.

(also my personal favorite of recent times is the bootleg von dutch v burberry mesh trucker hat.it's like a regular von dutch trucker hat but with the burberry print on the non mesh part of the hat)

 I wasn't entirely sure if that person was being serious or not but my god yes.

I doubt burberry actually make "bootleg von dutch v burberry mesh trucker hat" but ok, if that's your thing.

On Burberry itself I agree with most other people here - Prorsum yes, London No. However I still haven't taken the plunge and bought anything from Prorsum yet incase anyone asks where i bought it from and i have to say "Burberry".
(It's sad, i know)

yes my above post is sarcasm.also i have seen the hat i mention and it is truly an abomination. i very much doubt that it is made by either of those companies.

Wow, I have never actually looked at Burberry Prorsum before. Some of it is nice. Some of those bags though still scream CHAV though.

I can not stand Burberry London. Its the most hidious thing I have ever seen. It is everywhere. OOOOH and the FAKES. It is even worse now, everyone has them.

When I see them, ewww. If I think of Burberry London, what comes to mind is;

Rough girls (i.e the ones who combine (usually) fake burberry, MASSIVE hoop earings, and really pulled back hair, with tracksuits, or football shirts....... eww.

Football Louts

Roughin's

Tacky

No matter what I do, I will always think of that sort of stuff.

I can not stand the stuff.

Its just like Von Dutch, look how many people are / were wearing that, you could not go anyway and not see a dam Von Dutch hat.

Omg look what I found from Yoox:

Definately "don't" imo!

chavvies and burberry

Is the chav culture dissuading you from wearing Burberry items?

For me it is mostly the immitation burberry paraded about by kids in budget bling that makes me inclined to avoid the traditional burberry housecheck.

Actually, I would wear that if the check wasn't associated with a brand.

I did get that you meant it sarcastic:flower:

It still made me sick though.:yuk:

Good job with creating the most horrible image in fashion history!

The items themselves are what dissuade me from buying Classic Burberry.

I wouldn't because it's made really crappily. Good grief. The ONLY way you can do overscale plaid is to match the pattern up, otherwise it looks garbagey and cheap and lame!

This is how you do it:

This dress pretty much epitomises the right way to do really big plaid. When you take the care to match up the lines, it makes a cool design along the seams.

That brown shirt would be 100% better if the plaid was matched up so that it made a diamond across the front of the placket or was arranged in some other fashion that allowed for the lines to intersect properly. There is NO excuse for sloppy plaid! The dress you see above is an old Sears Junior Boutique item from the 1970s.

...

Should i be ashamed? ...
^that thing above still scares me...must be that yellow colour...:yuk:
