British supermodel Lily Cole, the current face of De Beers, has stated that she is refusing to work for De Beers again, over claims that Bushmen were evicted to make way for future diamond mining in Botswana, says London-based Survival International.

Meanwhile, screen icon Julie Christie has lent her support to the campaign stating: "Boycott De Beers! Or have the destruction of the Bushmen on your conscience."

If it's true that debeers cause bushmen people to suffer and has a bad image, doutzen's image as their current face will be a lil negative right ?

maybe Doutz took that campaign even if the label isn't friendly with native africans because issues about debeers problem is fading now so she signed contract with debeers.
And i bet debeers pay her a lot for this work since supermodel like lily,iman and erin refuse to signed any contract with them. she wouldn't say no to big check must of models too. only my opinion
