Dr. Romanelli

I had a Romanelli jacket a while back when the magazine I worked for did a story about him. The quality is really good, especially considering he's had no training in terms of fashion/sewing/etc.

There's something of a paradox here again, no? You take something like 'Nike' which is cool because it isn't designer, cool because it's iconic of non-conformism, and you put a label and a price on it. Does it not lose it's je ne sais quoi, it's 'cool'?

I like his stuff alot , the mixture of leather and swet shirt material is cool

I really hate most of it, but from what I can tell by the pictures, the quality and construction look pretty good.

Yeah, I've moved on from the urban look, but I was very pleased with my Romanelli jacket. The construction was done really well and the seams were very clean.

excuse me...but i don't see nike as non-conformisst at all...it is a mass produced and mass marketed global product readily available at all pricepoints...pretty conformist and mainstream to me...especially with the logo everywhere...rather suburban , in fact...

i actually think that adding a capsule collection in limited quantities done in collaboration with a streetwear or high-end designer is what gives it more street credibility...
otherwise you're just like very other kid on the street...
what so special in that?... :flower:

imo.. :innocent:

I don't like it, it does look good quality - but I have completely moved on from that street look.
