It appears she's worked with Hussein Chalayan a few seasons and worked freelance for him one season.
Does anyone have more info on her? I don't really understand it... I thought designers usually design on their own, unless they're wanting to collaborate with some kind of specialist (ie. graphics designer, trends consultant, master pleater, textile designer, etc.)... or if it is a large house like Dior or LV.

I'm not sure if these designs are completely hers or if they are in part with her collaborating with Chalayan
Here's some of her work from her website...

So unusual to hear someone from Balkan ...

p.s. I'm from Serbia and I would like to chat with people from own country so PM me ... ;)

i noticed she's worked with all of her instructors....including Chalayan. i dunno,i think it's just a collaboration. alot of designers might collaborate with other talents, like you say,on more specific items....or more specific to their talent, rather. in a way,it's like some designers collaborating with a shoe-designer,really.

in any case,i really enjoy what i see :)

thanks gius :flower:

i love it ... thanks gius  those white pieces remind me of some of nicolas' work for balenciaga. nevertheless, the illustrations and the products deserve recognition. the details look so delicate.

Unbelievably beautiful work. Fashion world needs more people with such attention and talent to detailing.

Thank you Gius!

Really stunning, and it is nice to see someone from the Balkan so talented,i mean there are also Lara Bohinc and Roksanda,so its nice to see more talent.

^i've actually noticed an uprising in balkan talent. one of the most recent graduates of Antwerp,Vladimir Lazarevic(whose work i have in my profile)is from serbia. +designers Marko Galovic & Slobadan Mihajlovic who both graduated from Antwerp in 03 and have gone on to do their own collections.....are also from serbia(or in marko's case,it says former yugoslavia but doesn't specify which part since they're all independent now). And a great new discovery based in Berlin,Sasa Kovacevic is also from serbia.....here's a link to his iqons profile:

And let's not forget the most famous slavic designer....Marjan Pejoski! He's from Macedonia.

Great post, very interesting.I heard only about few that you mentioned. But yes,it seems Balkan has a great amount of talent, and i am sure they have so much inspiration to draw from. All those countries and their history are so fascinating.

You know i am not sure but;i think Marko Galovic is from Slovenia.:flower:

Thanks for the Sasas link,i really like his work.I wish people like him got more coverage and exposure.

you know i was(and still am!) very excited and enthused about his work after he invited me to his entourage. i think he has have a very good future given his range and technique. i hope he eventually gets himself a platform in paris or london because his talents are definitely deserving of wider interest.

you're welcome,you guys ;)
