Thanks for sharing your recollections here, Liberty Bell! I'm sure I too would have found the lure of Edie's gorgeous wardrobe, shoes, cosmetics, etc. absolutely impossible to resist...any young girl would have done.

It's amazing how strongly scent can provoke a person's memories, isn't it?

This is not Edie...looks nothing like her.....Someone is selling this picture as Edie???? How tragic!!!

^ I don't see how anyone can confuse that person as Edie; looks like the person's going for a more Brigitte Bardot-type look.

Speaking of Edie and Brigitte - I have a bit of an announcement to make. A few months ago I got this idea and after having mulled it over (and even talked with Liberty Bell a little bit), I think it's high time there was an online source for Edie and her fans. Plenty of other *cough*less worthy*cough* stars have received this recognition, so why not Edie - particularly in this precarious time?

Whatever your feelings are on the movie it's important to have a place to keep the real Edie alive with her growing popularity (and with Factory Girl muddling the truth) and that's what I'm going to try to do, based very much on everyone's suggestions and ideas for what the site should be. I think us fans deserve a place (beyond this lovely thread and the LJ community) to discuss anything and everything Edie and to provide new fans with the facts.

You can see our coming soon page here which explains it a bit more (and also how Brigitte Bardot ties in, hehe) and I really hope everyone likes this idea; I would be so delighted and honoured to see you on the message forum.
