I love the first two looks...very airline chic. Actually reminds me of ver old Balenciaga in terms of the shape. The prints are really bold and quite dazzling. It makes an interesting change from more sedated prints...thanks for posting!

A couple of the prints do my head in but otherwise, it's quite adorable and very true to their core aesthetic as you already stated. These two are such a focused duo it seems. What's become of the 'Ellesse' line?

The Designers

Design duo Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto have established an international reputation as innovative and influential textile and fashion designers since starting their business in 1992. They are London’s most versatile polymaths - always pushing the boundaries of print and design. They have just joined forces with Mitsui and MACH 55 in Japan to launch a new global license business to make Eley Kishimoto a true lifestyle brand. The results of this joint venture will be evident at the next their show. They continue to work with Ratti, World Textiles and Sanei.

The Collections

Bold graphic prints and naïve patterns with strong colour sensibility have always been the starting point for their mainline women’s collection but they have developed their design sensibility into a myriad of different areas. They presented a limited edition flash print version of the G-Wiz electric car last February; launch an Eley Kishimoto jewellery collection plus a new range of bags, small leather goods, calculators, home appliances, kimonos and childrenswear plus a range of watches for Citizen.

The News

Their new joint venture for global licensing has opened up endless possibilities. They are also working on a new hotel concept with Mark Newson.
