Elle Japon May 1986 : Michelle Eabry

I recently moved back to Tokyo and just today discovered an old shop not far from my apartment. They sell old Japanese fashion magazines for about two dollars each.

I picked up an Elle Japan May 1986 edition with Michelle Eabry on the cover. Love how the paper feels so different to today's glossy finishes. It has a matte texture to the pages.

I've had to Dropbox the pictures just roughly (until I can scan them) so if anyone can help me with identifying models, I'd appreciate it. Dropbox let's you comment now so it's the ideal solution. The other credits - stylist, hair and make-up I can get from the Japanese text.

The photos are just iPad camera shots so I will scan them in due course. I had to leave quite a few pages out because I have to go out again.

Anyone who can spare the time to identify the models (apart from Michelle Eabry, Stephanie Seymour & Elle Macpherson) would be greatly appreciated.

I think we lack Japanese fashion magazines... BADLY! There's absolutely no way I could find something like this so, I'm sorry, Jason but I'm a little jealous! You can send me all these issues, I have lots of time for scanning. I promise I'll send them back...someday!

Didn't stop by the store for a few days. The old lady had quite a few ready for me.
Marie Claire issues are all 1987. Also, Elle Japan December 1988, May 1990, July 1990 & May 1991. The small copy is a hardback book of Vogue Japan from 1982. She let me have them all for twenty dollars.



If I had the time, I would take some photos of all of them but my job is really long hours.
If anyone would specifically like to see something from a magazine in particular, please let me know.
