Is the yellow paint turmeric? Elle (the woman) love fads, so I can see her jump on that bandwagon.
I do like the yellow and blue colours, but the cover as a whole is too generic for the newly edgy Elle Russia. Plus, Elle on Elle? Groundbreaking.

1. She is a successful businesswoman who launched a very successful range of healthy supplements. So let’s not take a turmeric away from her :-) She earned it :-)

2. This is a tribute to an original cover from the 80ies shot by Gill starring Elle. So it is not supposed to be groundbreaking. Apart from the fact that the woman looks mindblowing at her or for that matter any age.

3. She is one of the quentissential Elle girls. Wasn’t she featured in French Elle for 7 year non-stop or smth like that. So Elle on Elle comes with quite a bit of legacy:-) Luckily, they didn’t use that headline :-)

Good to see former husband and wife working together several decades later - if you're going to reference the past, why not do it properly and get the originals in to do it?
