Most of the images in this shared Elle story don't really lend themselves to working that well as a cover shot.

There are hardly any images where you're not going to get an awkward corner or cabinet (or curtain or chair) or some type of shadow which makes her face seem indistinct.

If you're an automatic fan, you probably don't need the photography to persuade you, but if the same imagery appeared as a fashion editorial using a random model, I'd be turning the page.

Gaga looks like someone else but I guess it's the hair colour and bangs.
