What`s happening to Elle France? Their just taking things (all their efforts for the past few beautiful issues) down the drain. Don`t get me wrong, I love the risk they took for putting a nude Monica (?) on there cover but come on, we all know that they can do a hell of a lot better than that. I`m starting to think that they lost their creativity. I hope they prove me wrong

You make it sound like this is Vogue Italia or Vogue Paris. It's not. It's just the French publication of ELLE magazine and it's weekly. When you look at the hundreds of covers they've produced over the years you will know that nothing is happening to French Elle and they aren't losing anything. Sometimes the covers are bad, sometimes the covers are good, that happens when you produce around 50 covers every year. It's no use lamenting on the 'current state' of French Elle. Just accept it and get over it.

^And Jesus...!

After Carla and Monica and this reprint^I can't wait for the French Elle cover with Marion Cotillard and her brand new baby boy with an ugly name...
I am kidding but iam afraid they might do this pretty soon. I already imagine the sentence on the cover "Comment Marcel a bouleversé sa vie de femme et d'actrice"
AAAArgh!!! If they do that I kill someone!

:lol::lol::lol:too funny

just because it's a weekly magazine and not "vogue" doesn't mean standards have to slip:innocent: some people read the magazine each week and if they see it isn't what it used to be or as it should be why not express that if you are an avid reader or subscriber?

:lol: I was going to give you karma for this post but apparently I have to spread it around more.

'Standards slipping' suggests that French Elle used to be really good and now not anymore. I say it again, if you look at the hundreds of covers from the past decade (I assume everyone is familiar with fashion-iconography.net) you will realise that 'standards slipping' does not apply. The people who read this magazine every week (French women and I assume not Mon) see it as just a women's weekly mag. Most people here do as well and don't expect magic every week. The people who don't should in my opinion reevalute their expectations of this magazine.

It was my honest opinion. It`s not your magazine, don`t get too affected. Get over it.

I know it's your honest opinion. And I applaud you for expressing it so boldly and passionately. But in this case it is based on invalid assumptions and expectations of French Elle. That is what I'm trying to point out. :flower:

seriously if someone feels that the magazine they read isn't as good as they liked it or want it to be what is wrong with them expressing that opinion? that's all i'm saying, don't make out that what you think about the magazine is how everyone else should think about it too. moving on swiftly now:flower:
