They could've done so much more with Virginie, but Elle FR is not just about (high) fashion after all. Still, lately it's one of the magazines that feel fresh and whose covers I look forward to every Thursday/Friday.
Same here! I have this odd level of respect for them. They stick to their aesthetic because it works. Sometimes I roll my eyes, like with the edit above. I mean, they've watered down so many HF pieces here that it looks like Red magazine.
But somehow it's still one of the most profitable French women's magazines. Their best months of the year are actually June and July (which is the worst months for Vogue Paris), and on average they turn 350K newsstand sales in France per month, and about 10K international.
