Sylvia Joriff has been very faithful to Nicolas! All these years...
It makes me sad to not see Charlotte in this.

‘Marina Fois is the definition of a real devotee. She wears his clothes (And also Balenciaga) like if she has a contract! You can see her in the street in old Balenciaga...

Good cute story. It’s interesting to see how influential’s has been in terms of « studio designs ». It’s like everybody in Paris has à Pierre Paulin type of studio now.

It makes me sad to not see Charlotte in this.

I thought it was great to see Julien and Natacha (even though I can't stand her designs) in there because it shows a sense of community as opposed to being pit against one another. I don't want to say it shows what a nice guy he is because he played dirty when Wang was at Balenciaga with snarky messages.

And yes, Charlotte's absence is sad because it more than anything underscored that beyond MAS, Delphine and his designer clique, everybody else from Lea to Alicia to Jaden is there because of a cheque. And just because she's got the common sense not to uglify herself with his LV wares, she's not included regardless of their association (not sure if something else happened?). Anyway, if he'd be replaced tomorrow at LV those celebrities won't leave with him. This is business above all else.

Nobody is perfect...
His departure from Balenciaga was ugly so snarky messages comes with it.
But I think he got peace at Vuitton. He is not giving all of himself like he did at Balenciaga and I think that peace of mind is doing wonders for him.

Yes, it’s always good to see that sense of community. It’s a pity that ELLE US doesn’t do it. It’s always good to see a designer’s clique...

What you said is true. Jaden, Alicia and Léa are here for the cheque and it kinda reflects on the way they wears Nicolas’s clothes. When Charlotte wore his clothes, she didn’t necessarly wore the runway look. She always made it her own. The same for Jennifer or Catherine Deneuve. Léa reminds me of Marion at Dior. She never Dior in her everyday life...She was more Isabel Marant/Chanel than Dior.

Charlotte moved to the US after the death of her sister. Maybe because she is not in Paris has changed things. It’s true that their collaboration at Balenciaga wasn’t based on a contract. It was pure friendship and free clothes. She got her contract in 2009 when the YSL thing is pure money..

I will always remember that quote from Monica Belucci: « It’s better to do a good campaign than a bad movie ».

Monica said that? Lol. Say what you will about her, and I've got loads to say, but that possibly the aptest soundbite she ever gave to encapsulate her career.

Yes she did. I don’t remember if it was for Paris Premiere or Canal Plus but it was a documentary about the relationship between celebrities and brands and the whole business around Redcarpet.

And yes what you said about her career is totally right and at the same time, it represents so many careers of actresses...They are So many like that in France!
Anna Mouglalis is the perfect example IMO. I’ve always felt like Karl’s love for her was like philanthropy! She has a very confidential and elitist career and she has been a lazy ambassador for Chanel since 2002.
And now, so many actresses and actors are plotting for the endorsement!

It was a very good documentary. I would love to see a newer version today because it’s getting out of control now...And LV’s line up of celebrities represents that.

God, thank you, and seconded regarding Anna Mouglalis! Honestly, it's a face I kept seeing on red carpets wearing the latest or couture Chanel, but I'd be hard-pressed to list one film I've seen her in. Ok I lie, maybe that Chanel biopic which I slept through? You're right in saying there are quite a few of those actresses who are kept popular because of their ties to the fashion industry.

What I don't get about the LV squad is that they may be great 'serious' actresses, but they are not hypervisible nor do they appear to have any special interest in the brand, Nicolas' aesthetic or fashion as a whole. So I don't really see the point of using someone like Alicia Vikander to sell your brand.
