Apologies, Surfbunny, some how I missed your original question. The last time I checked - about 2 months ago - her portfolio was gone from all of her agency boards (even Wilhelmina!) except for SMG Models.

Yes, that is a bad sign. She's abandoned modeling before, but never for so long.

Someone over at her Live Journal said that she recenty purchased a home. They found the property tax records for this.

My guess is that Elyse finally got burned out of modeling. She originally got into it as a way to make money for medical school and travel. I think she just got tired of it.
