Emilia Wickstead F/W 2022.23 London

Emilia Wickstead always delivers, always. The majority is sure sleeping on her. Elegant and construction is great, everyone looks amazing.

Elegant indeed, and Emilia Wickstead even managed to make the checkerboard print look elegant and sophisticated. The tailoring looks exquisite, love the silhouettes (a total breath of fresh air for LFW) and that gold sequined number toward the end is heavenly!

there’s some reminiscences here and there but overall very solid and something we can actually see women wearing.

With brands like Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera pushing into a trendier territory these days, it's good seeing a designer deliver on this kind of occasion dressing with a modernized vision. While this is surely very classical and 'appropriate', her clothes are not matronly. It's a fine balance to make and she delivers that really well!

I like this, , easy on the eyes and soothing to look at compared to there's of LFW thus far which has been lack luster.

Lovely stuff. The second to last look is going to be one of my favorites this season.
I'll never like checkerboard print, though.

At times very Prada in its understated, modern vision of classical femininity. It highlights what’s so wrong in Raf’s new image for the brand, the Prada woman we all fell in love with is at once an intellectual, a film noir heroine and a grande bourgeoise, practical and whimsical, sexy and androgynous…not just a triangle logo addict or a contemporary art groupie.

Another thumbs down for that checker print which I also abhor, but it’s more than compensated by some very strong propositions for both day and night. Nothing new but oh so satisfying.

Some great silhouettes
And who doesn't love a blood red pant suit?
