I was going to buy my mom some for Christmas and it smelled terrible.

My mother has the normal Trésor, and she's in her sixties. I don't really hate the parfume, but it's definitely not my cup of tea. It's a nice perfume for older people though.

^well, what fragrance you like is very personal, i guess i just don't like it's spicy note (that's what it smells like to me, i'm terrible at explaining smells)
but i LOVE Poême, although it's not for everyday

I tend to see Lancome as a brand for older people in general. I guess that's why they picked a 20 year old to head the new campaign.

@glitterpeacock: Yeah, Lancome is definitely a brand that's popular with the older crowd, so I agree that one of the reasons they chose someone as young as Emma, was to attract a younger audience.

I just hope this new perfume doesn't smell like something my mom wears.

Can I just say I'm uber excited to see the final results of the ad! It seems whatever Emma does turns to gold (Acting/Burberry ads/ modeling/ designing/ studying)... I hope the scent smells good too. Normally Lancome perfumes don't appeal to me but I'm willing to give this one a go.

Dislike the hair, like the make-up, but those shoes are not flattering to her legs. They make her look like she has cankles.

Very interesting to see Lancome choose Emma as their latest spokesperson though, since she is quite young. I think the next ambassador closest to her age is Anne Hathaway (who is 28).
