Emmy Rossum

God, she looks STUNNING. I love that hair and make up on her. Is her hair a shade darker or am I imagining things?

It's possible, I can't really tell. If she did it's a very subtle difference. I know she's going to be shooting a movie very soon, so perhaps she went a shade darker for the role?

She's looks amazing, but a velvet gown in Vegas?? In late May? Girl is asking to die from the heat. XD

Also some candids of Emmy and her boyfriend Tyler Jacob Moore arriving at LAX yesterday (same source)

I wonder if they planned on matching clothes or if it was just sort of accidental....^_^

Screening and panel discussion with Showtime's "Shameless" cast (emmyweb)

I hate it when they do this prim and proper looks on her. She looks like a middle aged woman who's ready for brunch at the country club. She's cooler than that, and such a natural beauty. Ick! Her stylist is the worst, and her makeup artist is too.

I like the dress from farther away because up close you can see how horrible of a print that purple flower is.

I think I recently saw her say something on Instagram about how she doesn't have a stylist! So she dresses herself mostly.

^ Ah, that explains it -- and I don't mean that in a rude way, even the most stylish of starlets need advising. It's great that she knows what she wants to project, but a stylist could help her refine her vision in to something a little more appealing.

I totally agree with you! She loves fashion and tends to have a great style, but sometimes it's really off the mark. I wonder why she doesn't want to have one. Although I really do think she should get a new makeup artist, sometimes it's really whacked.

I think Emmy's fine without a stylist. She has far more many hits than misses. There are many celebrities that need the help of a stylist, and she's not one of them.

BTW, she's presenting at the Critic's Choice Awards (for TV) tonight!

She talks about it a bit here:
“I surf the Web to see the runway shows and then figure out who the fashion publicists are and e-mail them myself,” she tells the magazine.

She also creates some pretty serious wish lists in the form of lookbooks made from magazine tear sheets; there’s one for runway looks she loves, another for hair and makeup. source
But she has admitted to using a stylist for red carpet events when she's working and doesn't have time contact designers and try on a million dresses etc.

That lipstick color clashes with the dress (which is ironic since I'm sure she was trying to go for a perfect match). After a longer look, the gown seems to weigh too heavily and just...brings Emmy down...probably all those sequins.
