Energie is definetly one of the top Design Houses out there right up with DSquared. Here is a few samples of their fall collection. For the complete collection, check out www.energie.it

    I think not...

I'd take a couple pieces as gifts, but I wouldn't spare the time or energy to buy any of it.

I don't mean this in a disrespectful way, but do you truly think that DSquared2 is a top fashion house? You honestly think that their designs are up to par with the work of what most people here consider the top designers? If so, fine. But I just can't see how you could rationalize this.

Dean and Dan Caten are amazing designers that even exceed the likes of Dolce & Gabbana in my opinion (who are often unrivaled).
The thing with the DSquared runway collections is that I don't look at the whole outfits, but rather the individual pieces - which are amazingly unique and artistic.

For example, the only thing I like in this outfit is the vest. But that vest is simply amazing!

    Or these shoes

    This belt, and pants

    This jacket

    The two sleeveless vest

    This vest

    This blazer

I could on for a long time. There's so many beautiful pieces that these guys make that I want. With Dsquared, or any designer for that matter - it's important to look at the individual pieces rather than the entire outfir that has been put together.

I also love the cuts of their pieces, such as this shirt

energie is much betetr than dsquared, for the simple reason that dsquared is utter over prieced crap, at least energie dosn't charge 500 hundered for pants. I ahve some of their jeans , there nice but i wouldn't consider them high design.

i cant stand men who wear these 'urban' labels
there is nothing urban about buying faded ripped jeans
infact it makes them look more gay than anything......
it confuses me who's gay and who's not

Hey Hed, I see what you're saying, and I respect your opinion. :flower: I do like a few of the pieces, although I still feel it's quite overpriced. But that's a different topic altogether...

Acid, I'm not sure I totally understand your comment.

:o My gosh Hedi- you're right! I can totally see what you mean now. Those downfilled vests, that pair of brown shoes... They have just rocked my world. Seriously, top, top designers! Such incredibly gorgeous, unique and breathtaking creations. :buzz: True artistic talent there. I have really just been blown away by it all! Thank you for posting those pictures and showing me the light, Hedi. I will never again look at Alexander McQueen in the same way ever again.

Show me some MCQueen mens pieces and then I'll judge them and let you know if I like them or not.

So true! Personally, I like the looks from Engergie that were displayed, but the comparisoin with DSquared kind of shocks me. IMO I find DSquared to be completely unoriginal, I can find the same clothes at Abercrombie, Aeropostale, and American Eagle for less than half the price. While I will admit that they do have some nice pieces, I think that their collections are crap.

Also, after their Spring 2005 women's show, I am completely turned off by their collections. The more I see of it, the more trashy it looks. The only thing I admire about Dean and Dan is that they work with some pretty hot male models :innocent:

Probably more like 1/10 of the price at American Eagle. Although, you get what you pay for, quality wise. I've never bought anything at American Eagle, but one of my friends manages a store, and she had three pairs of AE sunglasses break in ONE day. Talk about crappy. And another girl I know bought a jacket there for like $70, and the zipper broke and a button broke off or something. Their stuff is SOOOOOOO terrible.

Hey Hed, have you looked at Polo Ralph Lauren American Roughwear? You'd like it. Kinda like DSquared2 with class. Watch the Polo men's show at Polo.com.
