Though they never officially confirmed their marriage, Enrique Iglesias is now telling Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet that he and Anna Kournikova are divorced and that he's single again.
It's also very convenient that the singer's making this announced at the exact same time he has a new album to promote!

IT’S GAME, set and match for ANNA KOURNIKOVA and heart-throb ENRIQUE IGLESIAS. Spanish crooner Enrique and Russian tennis beauty Anna have parted after five years together.
He confessed: “We’ve split. I’m single now and it’s OK. I don’t mind being single.”
Enrique hinted KIDS were a factor. He said: “I’m not ready for children.
“I don’t feel like taking on such a responsibility yet. But in the future I’d like two children.”
Only recently he revealed that he had no intention of marrying feisty blonde Anna because “it wouldn’t make a difference”. But now it seems his reluctance to commit was a sign the relationship was rocky.

The glamour couple had been dating since Anna starred as Enrique’s girlfriend in the video for his No3 hit Escape in 2002. They went through a tough time a few years later when Enrique was accused of having a fling with an Australian girl.
But three years ago Anna was spotted wearing a huge diamond on her ring finger.


Enrique coughed to the separation in Swedish capital Stockholm on Friday, where he was doing interviews. Anna, currently in the States, reacted by hitting the town in Vegas.
Enrique’s singer dad JULIO was also in Stockholm. But it seems that communication between the pair is not the best.

Asked if Enrique sought his advice over the split, Julio said: “Is he in town? I didn’t know. I tried calling him but his voicemail was on.”
I reckon Enrique’s split from Anna could open the floodgates for his love life.
After all, he shares the same genes with Julio — one of showbiz’s most prolific swordsmen. He is rumoured to have slept with THREE THOUSAND WOMEN.
Enrique has said of his dad’s totty tally: “It’s a lie. I don’t believe he has slept with 3000 women. I think it’s closer to 5,000!”
But after making an embarrassing little confession last week, Enrique may now struggle to land himself a new lady. He stunned his millions of female fans by admitting he has a, ahem, meagre manhood.
He declared his shortcoming is the one thing he would change about his body if given the chance.
Enrique said: “I’d change my penis if I could. It’s way, way, way too small.”
I suspect that may be a clever ploy to stop Anna from having the pleasure of telling everyone.

Spanish heart-throb Enrique Iglesias has had nothing but praise for his girlfriend Anna Kournikova of late. So it came as a surprise when reports began to circulate that the couple had split after five years together. It seems that the singer, who was on a visit to Stockholm to promote his first album in three years, Insomniac, made a comment to reporters in jest that he wasn't expecting to be taken literally.
When a reporter asked if he was married, Enrique jokingly replied he'd just got divorced, saying he was single now and it's ok. "I don't mind being single," he said. The singer's playful words were then seized upon by the press, which began to report he'd ended his romance with Anna.
It appears that is far from the truth, and indeed his relationship with the Russian beauty seems stronger than ever. He recently told HELLO! magazine that former tennis ace Anna was the only woman he could imagine as the mother of his children.
While he has said he's not ready to marry - and the couple still live in separate homes - they remain incredibly close. "It is the first serious relationship I've had in my life," adds Miami-based Enrique who says that with the 24-year-old by his side he has no fears for the future.
Indeed, the future is looking bright for the singer. The first single from his new album has been at number one in America's prestigious Billboard Latin chart for the past four weeks, and he's busy working on a Spanish version of LP Insomniac, due out at the end of this year.
