Since entering the international runway scene via the Christian Dior Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2012 show in Paris over a year ago, Esther has been exclusively in Europe until this season. Walking in only New York, Milan, and Paris, the German’s fresh face opened an impressive 8 shows, which consisted of 3.1 Philip Lim, Diesel Black Gold, Rag & Bone, Sportmax, Baptista, Sonia Rykiel, Viktor & Rolf, and Roberto Cavalli. She also had the honor of closing Roberto Cavalli, Roland Mouret, and Reed Krakoff. She tied Ashleigh Good with the most number of opening and closing honors.

For its Fall 2013 campaign, Emporio Armani tasked a group of beautiful people with walking through an "imaginary backstage," moving the focus away from the runway and showing what it looks like when the models come off the catwalk.

But the campaign itself was shot thousands of miles away from Emporio Armani's Fall 2013 show. Photographer Craig McDean took the images in New York City, and captured Jacquelyn Jablonski, Ruby Aldridge, and Esther Heesch for the women's campaign. (Alexandre Cunha, Nils Butler, and Marlon Teixeira star in the men's ads.)
