Etro F/W 2025.26 Milan

I’m ready for tomatoes to be thrown at me: the Etro print needs to go. It’s ugly as hell, it’s overused and never got its “cool” rebranding. Particularly on silk it looks cheap af. I always hope that Etro has a full 360 turnaround the way Bottega had back in the post Tomas Meier days with Daniel, for example. Okay the clothes are pretty but I always ask myself - will they sell? Are they wearable? It the shoe development team is still the same as it was 4-5 years ago these shoes should not be worn lol. Generally from my opus here you can tell i never liked Etro

^ I do kind of agree that Etro doesn’t need to have paisley prints head to toe considering it was only introduced in the 80s.

I’d like to start to see more focus on the textiles and luxurious fabrics likes damasks, brocades, intricate weaves and so on. Something less “dusty”. Etro after all started as textiles brand and they could be an Italian equivalent to Dries Van Noten (who also comes from a family of textiles traders)

The colours palete here is beautiful and Marco seems to be talented enough and understand exactly what the Etro needs to stay relevant in current times.

It's just so outdated to have that print everywhere, over and over again, its beginning to look mega vulgar to plast it everywhere. There's nothing fun or youthful about it, nor glamorous or elegant about it.its just a pile of nothing
