Etro Menswear S/S 2026 Milan

I have a soft spot for etro, unfortunately this collection is not it. I find the colors offensively ugly, aggressively ugly even. I can’t even see this being sold at outlets, it’s really ugly.

Etro is lacking clear positioning, I can’t see who this is for and at what price this will be sold. It had an interesting energy a couple of seasons ago where it almost felt surfer ish?

^^^ It’s moderately priced for a highend brand by today's standards— like what the average pricepoint was 10 years ago for a highend suit jacket. The brand knows its customer: CEOs near retirement’s wives shopping for them: A casual Hawaiian silk paisley shirt and Bermuda shorts for their annual Caribbean cruise; paisley ties and pocket squares for their officewear; a paisley bomber, a printed pant and a pastel blazer for weekend luncheons and boating etc etc. Take away the prints and none would be the wiser that the designs of the separates is JC Penny, just of a premium quality.

Wouldn’t pay for them, even discounted, but I’d gladly wear these suits in my own styling instead of the fuddy-duddy dad way shown, if I were generously gifted them. (...What bugs is that they don’t even bother to hem and press some of the pants properly for these lookbooks shoots.)

Vogue Runway confirmed it’s designed by the design team… are they parting away from Marco de Vincenzo?!
I hope so...he needs to go to another house..he needs to go to Fendi or another house...
