Each girl wants to be a princess or a Holliwood princess or a princess of pop music or the bride of beautiful prince. A dreamy person may be dreaming for hours. But later they usually come back to real life. Most people do, but some of them dont come back and their real life becomes a fantasy.
A young model girl shows chic clothes gracefully which cost more than 10.000$. Looking at her it is not easy to realise that this magnificence is only entourage for that successful girl who only does her job, this job wich seemed to be a dream.
I ll cross a little bit...
... Eugenia Volodina...ideal features...thoughtful serious look of blue eyes... All the things happened to her and around her on summer 2004 in Paris seem to be a dream. But heroine of that dream is an earthy beauty.
Paris. Monday. Morning. Audience, clients and editors of fashion magazines have come here to see the Dior Haute Couture fashion show. They try to be quiet. But behind the scenes the things differ. Models who are laced up try not to fall down and not to be suffocated. Some models have masks a-la Egypt on their faces.
...So Volodina appears... Her dress made of silk is wonderful. Make up: red and pink triangles near eyes and green eyebrows made of crorodile leather... Only she, a well-known and successful model doesnt have mask, becouse "only new models have to put them on" - she said 2 days agter the show... But not to show such a face is the last thing to do.
She has just arrived from Ralph Rucci show especially for Russian Vogue. She almost has no free time, she has so much work this week. It is difficult to realise that Æåíÿ is that girl who shows those unbelivable dreasses. She wears black jeans, black sweater and trainers as a simple 20y.-old girl. But they are from known designers and she can afford them. Her favourite brands are DG ang Gucci because "they are smart, elegant and sexy".
These things looks like Âîëîäèíà (Volodina) whose look adorns DG adv.
She looks like Italian star. Her first foto-survey, devoted to Italy, took place in Milan and one of the article was devoted to women with vividly expressed noses. Âîëîäèíà is one of them. She looks through a new edition of work with pleasure. She found that "Tatiana Sorocco_s "Telegrams" are very amusing. But in the morning I saw her reading George Oruell_s book "1984". Books are her passion, she reads everything in Russian and in English. "I like books very much. Read one till the end end begin to read the next one. There is nothing to do on the time between shows. "
The survey for Vogue is inspired by "flower" ideas. So from a black doll, very beautiful doll, she becomes a colourful butterfly. "...your hair" - said a smiling barber showing artificial hair. Then a make-up specialist glues artificial lashes on Eugenia_s natural. He asks what does "ïîêà-ïîêà" mean? She explain that it is "bye-bye" in Russian.
Æåíÿ was born in Tatarstan, she began model business at 14. But she bacame famous in 2002, when Steven Meisel noticed her and made the first foto for the Vogue Italy cover. The first adv. was also made in 2002 - for Gucci. She was 18. Now she lives in Paris and doesnt want to leave it for New-York as many models do. Is she a Russian or an international model? She answers that she is a Russian model and she is proud of that. "When I finish my model career I ll come back home but now I dont know exactly what I am going to do".
Bronze sunburn suits her very much. She has got brown during her rest with her boy_ friend. Boy_friend? Her eyes sparkle..."He is from Russia. Our men are the best! I miss him and my large family: 2sisters and a brother. Once a month a go home to see them. There I can relax, I wake up at 6 o clock in the morning and come home at 3. For my relatives I am not a chic model. I am who I am and I dont talk with them about my business." So I realise that her business is a very hard and exausting job. Æåíÿ dreams:" When I earn milliard dollars, I will buy a house on some exotic island."
After the Dior show she becomes almost a 2-m.high likeness of Donatella Versace in Ritz hotel. The next day on Chanel she looks in a different way. Now she is a graceful lady. So there is less Italian and more Spanish in her. She marches past and the music ... "You are so beautiful".
Åâãåíèÿ is favoured to close Valentino show. She wears a long black party dress. Velentino (about Æåíÿ "her beauty is exceptional, ideal proportions. beautiful face, unusual eyes. Charm...everything in Eugenia is of the higherst quality."
On Ungaro she shows a long red dress and she looks like a Hollywood star. Ungaro:"I am fascinated and entranced since I saw her for the ferst time. Her beauty is fragile, not from this earth, magic... mystarious. Sometimes I saw in Eugenia Grace Kelly, sometimes Marlen Ditrih or Odrey Hepbern.Most of all she is quiet inside..."

Are not you tired of making the same things every day? I think:no. She really likes what she does. She likes fashion shows, her favourite is Victiria_s Secret_s. She said about it with enthusiasm: "I marchesed past on this show 2 times. Everything was so beautiful. We are all angels with wings. And you simply forget that you shows underwear. You are an angel."
Suddenly she stops...and thinks about something. She is in her fantasy dreaming about angels and princess...somewhere...very far...

The europian supermodel’s eye is caught by Kazan fur coat

Eugenia’s life – a fairytale about snow – white. From Kazan schoolgirl to one of Valentino’s fav models. Every famous photographer wants to work with Eugenia, but every designer wants her to show his clothes. Eugenia Volodina is known in model business simply as Eugenia. She is constantly away from home, but in her thoughts she is always in Russia.

,,I like national clothes and Gucci ‘’

We met Eugenia at presentation of one kazan clothing company fashion show. We were told that Eugenia in her early days had also walked down this runway. With biggest joy she accepted the oppertunity to visit this fashion show. On her stole, as the other guest, she had meat and fish meals, desert and fruits. As to drinks – still water and juice. From stronger drinks – brandy and champaign. But Eugenia eschawed alcoholic drinks. All evening with intrest she looked at the models and the new collection. Most of all she liked national clothes, the way latest tendences were mixed with national motive. And ofcourse, women’s best friends, fur coats.

- Tell us please Eugenia are there any common tendencies in Europe?
- A bit, - warmly smiled Eugenia. – At the moment a lot of designers uses Russian motive in their collections. I so liked the national clothing in this fashion show. It’s truly beatiful. Them (in Europe) dont have that.
- What do you prefer yourself to wear? Any favourite brands?
- I wear different clothing. Few years ago i liked Gucci. But now i wear a lot of other designers. Even not in one style.
- Maybe you have desire to own smth from this collection?
- Oh, yes. I extremly loved one fur coat. Silvery one. It was the first or the second in collection. Çîÿ Ñàôèíà is the designer. I admire everything she does. I have always liked the clothing she designs. Even in those years when i worked here in «Èëüäàíå».

The fur coat was truly beautiful. Soft, furry and ‘’you can wear it on both sides’’. This miracle costed – 80 thousand roubles huh: how many is that prox in $ ?) For a model who has earned 1 million dollars for a year that isnt so expenssive.

 Êàçàíü ñáåæàëà ê ëþáèìîìó (?)

Despite of her fame she still is absolutely simple and opened person. Perhaps thats why she became firends with Valentino. Not even his favourite model, but also face for his new fragrance.

- At first, when i cam to casting, it was a bit difficult, but after some time we became good friends, - tells Eugenia about the famous designer. – For him i am like a daughter. I have been to his flat, he invited me. He is superperson indeed. At the moment i live and work in Paris. But i have never forget Russia.

Zenya loves Kazan so much that when she has the samellest possibilty she flies home. She escapes from busy cities, just to enjoy the quiet streets of her country, but not only for that.

- Here all mine relatives live. And mine biggest love. That why i try to go home every month , admits Eugenia.

Eugenia started to work as a model while she was at school. After she graduated, one of Russian agencies sent her to Paris. Then she didnt think about famous shows and magazines. She simply wanted to work in fashion world. But it turned out 20 years old russian beauty was meant for fashion world. After working in Europe for half a year, without problems she got Gucci campaign. For every designer she is a favourite model. Europian press calls her as «æåíùèíà-âàìï», «àìàçîíêà» è «áîãèíÿ».


I simply work from day to day ,trying to do everything as good as i can, - tells us our supermodel.
