I think Serbian song was tooo serious for Eurovision... Eurovision is a joke anyway, so I like when people come there having fun..therefore I love Ukraine, one of the most stupid songs I have ever heard, but it was catchy and perfect for eurovision. I personally was quite disappointed in this years eurovision...first 16 countries were all from Eastern Europe and it was so obvious who voted for who and I still cannot understand why Serbia won :ninja:

I don't want to be rude or anything, but I think this song was so boring. I didn't even notice this sond until it had won. but actually doesn't matter..Eurovision has lost its touch, of course, if it ever had it....

it's the same here... i think the songs suck but it's entertaining... I hated Serbia's though...
And i also hate how most countries vote, it's ALWAYS the same: montenegro gives 12 points to serbia, norway and denmark give 12 points (or at least a lost of points) to sweden... ireland/UK, spain/portugal, Latvia/lithuania/estonia... so friggin biased !

Well I don´t know about anyone else, but I take eurovision seriously. I think it is a great idea, because it is our only chance to get to know music from other parts of Europe, otherwise we are forced to listen to some american crap that is just the same year after year because a few american music corporations have a monopol over the whole industry.

Also I like that we always get documentaries about a country the contest is in on television.

Here in Greece they do talk about eurovision and i think some do take it seriously but whatever... Since people vote, that means that they do take it seriously (everywhere in europe). I think it's funny, but after all it's a song contest not nuclear science, how seriously can you take it?

I think Ukraine was so kitsch and funny you couldn't NOT like it. :lol:

And who came up with the whole russia goodbye? That's not true it says lasha tumbai (whatever that means :unsure:

I agree with that since it's pretty much the same for us Greece/Cyprus (by the way the greek song was OMG :sick:

)

But don't forget that usually the best song wins. Otherwise the country with the most "alliances" would've won. And not just once...

Living in the UK now, i had the chance to vote for my country, Greece, for the first time and so i did. I like the song from Bulgaria very much, and apparently so did the Greeks living in Greece at the moment, because they gave 12 points.
I think the show was far cry from what i have expected to see...
I can't even imagine what will Serbia will present next year...!!!

Natuarally, every country has a special understanding/affinity for the neighboring countries. But this year, it was taken too far. Look at this scoring sheet - most Eastern European countries didn't give a single point to a Western country...it really is rather interesting. Is it because they just don't like Western music at all, or because they don't like the people....It's pretty curious IMO.

Not a single point to the other 'block': Armenia, Bosnia-Herzigovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, FYR Macedonia, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine.

For the Western countries: Not a single one Western country did not vote for an Eastern one.

Uhm what the hucking fell people, Finland just won last year. We're pretty western these days. Maybe Western country wins next time, who cares. I don't, except that Finland carried this competition pretty well, I enjoyed all the free music around it that Helsinki offered.´

hahaha i LOVED greece, the singer was so cute and the song catchy... i mean it sucked but it was a good song for eurovision, and i liked the singer ^_^
