what?! that's really too much. we must have spent around 50 euros

I don't like Russian song at all, it is just typical balad song, I prefer Romanian song and off course Serbia! I this so stupid when contestants sing on English instead of their own language, and it would be right to forbidden singing on any other language that is not from the country you represent. Thank God my country Serbia always sings on our language and that is what I really respect

Our competitor said everyone had to wait for Dima 40 minutes when they were going on a trip across Beograd. And that he is really spoilt. But I don't care:lol:.

Dima Bilan said that he will marry his GF (Elena Kuletskaya - she is a model and have a thread here) if he will win

I think his girlfriend should start reading Serbian newspapers, because then she would read that over 20 escort girls went through his hotel room in Serbia!!!:D:D:D:D

Israel was sort of funny because I was saying "Oh, when I saw this in the semi final I was so suprised that it was a guy singing when I looked at the screen", and several of the people in the room turn to the tv and are all "Whaaat? That's not a woman singing??". :D
But the song was actually quite good. :)

As for Björn Gustavsson - the comedian delivering the Swedish vote - I'm pretty sure he changed his act and decided that he might as well just humor the Swedes, who were all sitting at their tv's wondering what the hell had just happened at that point. Thinking about how he must have looked to the rest of Europe still makes me chuckle. :)

And, seriously, Spain didn't get a bad placement "because of the soviet countries". Spain got a bad placement because it was a really, horribly bad tasteless song and exactly the type of thing that is ruining this competition. Any of the other "protest vote"-seekers, except for the pirates, didn't go on from the semi finals, but Spain being one of the "big four" is sadly free to send any type of foolishness directly to the final.

I can't stop listening to Albanian song, it is so amazing, even if I can't understand the words...

^Well honestly Spain's entry was a breath of fresh air. I was sick of seeing the same pop song or ballad by every entry every single year. I applaud Spain for sending such a silly act and for not taking this competition too seriously.
I don't think that that type of attitude is ruining the competition at all! actually my opinion is quite the opposite. Spain knew it wasnt going to win but it couldn't care less.

The Eurovision has become about politics rather than actual songs.

UK came last..

i dont find it that suprising we're never in the top:lol: its easier to find us at the bottom of the list.

i've actually given up watching it i used to love watching it for that bit of yearly cheese. its not the same as it used to be, well not for me anyway.

And that guy from Spain was pretty freaky. What did he do there?

The guy from spain was "created" by a late show because the "singer" from spain was elected from those who put online their videos on myspace.

This "late show" is one of the most seen on spanish tv, so it was pretty obvious that he would won.

He is an actor, so I think that "rodolfo chikilicuatre" will die, as soon as the eurovision's fever will end.

By the way, i think that this "song" will be the song of the summer here in spain. IMO I hateeeeeeeeee it :yuk::yuk: it's funny ok, but that's all.

I thought Latvians were funny and their song was catchy... Didn't really get the Spanish song though. Don't care for the winners as well. English commentator's negative attitude ruined the whole evening for me...

Actually I just checked the Russian boy's 2006 song and it is so much better than the current one IMO.

but Terry Wogan is the best thing with eurovision! and I don't even get bbc anymore. thankfully the new swedish commentators are more realistic than the former, and they have more bite as well. Terry might be more than bitter sometimes, but that just adds some humour, you can't take eurovision too seriously, 3/4 are just utter crap and the rest is just some radio background music. only once every other year there's a true hit song.

I can't believe everyone took the swedish announcer of the votes seriously?! the "Hola bell-graaaad"? the grin? and "aaaaand twelve points goes to sweden!"? hahah, omg, but I guess all the tackiness and strange english from the others made that possible.

and I loved the fact that Russia had Plushenko! ice-skating is one of the most impressive things I know.
