half-mexican doesnt mean shes isnt totally white...many mexicans are white...anyway, beside the point, the dude who said "logically" a person of color would win...thats not true...i think they went with the person who they thought would be best in all three cases....although the "best" isnt really that great in my opinion

That's not true! I don't know if were an avid viewer or not, but someone who sings and dances on set, around the other girls, laughing and joking, kissing the photographer, etc. isn't someone I'd call dull.

Singing and dancing on the set with the other girls- or even drunk at a club means absolutly nada! The people to impress are the heads of fund$$$$-the heads that will be investing money into the situatation.

In AMNT case she-Amanda- didnot have that flair with the judges. Plain and Simple

i havent watched the show because i dont live in America so i cant really judge what these people are like... but from the pictures if some one told me the girl that won was a Jackson ...i wouldnt question it, she is very pretty but i dont see anything appealing about her from the pictures, but like i said if i watched the show i might have a different opinion.

i'm really glad eva won. i started watching from episode six, and even then, i saw that she was the only one with potential. i thought yaya might win at first because of her look, but after i got a dose of her attitude, i knew eva would win.

I'm not one of those people, honestly. Could you really have seen a white girl winning again? There were so many minorities this time round, it was inevitable a minority win. I know I would've been pissed off if a white girl won again, and not just because of race. I think in the past series of ANTM, ANTM 2 for example, April was clearly easily the one with most potential, and Mercedes was easily a better model then Yoanna. The best don't always win, and unfortunately, it does have to do with race.

I like the Cover Girl photo but that's it. She just doesn't say top model to me. Can't imagine her doing runway or Vogue etc. Amanda should've won in my opinion.

It seems the ones that end up in the final two, but don't win, are the ones that get the most work , i.e. Elyse and April.

It is your merely your opinion that Mercedes and April were better models. While I do agree(well, somewhat), do remember that one of the prizes was to model for a makeup company. Yoanna has the right features for beauty shots.

elyse wasn't in the final two... it was adrianne and shannon for the 1st season. neither was april...

i didn't know april got lots of work though? what has she done?

IMO none of the winners will really go onto high fashion because designers don't want to be associated with an ANTM because its gimmicky and they aren't always the most high fashion model-like models. i think shannon or elyse would have been the better season 1 choice. but for this season... i didn't particularly like any of the models like i have in the past. to be honest, they shouldn't pick 25 year olds like yoanna if they want to be america's next top model, because even most big models die out by then with only a few exceptions.

This is where Amanda looks best. I dont understand why they changed her hair colour. Yes Amanda does have some quirky moments, I didn't like her as much as I liked EVA. Eva showed what she was really made of when she had this fear for spiders and she looked amazing in her photo. There she showed that she had the heart and desire to be a model. But damnnn Amanda looks good in that picture!

I have to admit that Eva earned a lot of my respect with the spider shoot. I thought she wouldn't be able to do it but she not only did it, she nailed it! She had the best photo of the bunch.
Amanda had the best Cover Girl photo in my opinion.

I liked Amanda better with dark hair! I think she looked more stunning and not so much like a alien! And besides the white hair totally did nothing for her I mean she just looked freaky imo. If they wanted to make her look dramatic they should have given her like black hair that would make her eyes stand out more

Race of course is one of the main factors for me not wanting a white girl to win again, but it's imho that there was a lot more potential and that the girls who won the first season weren't the best. I just think that the fact they were white did contribute to their win. The winner got a contract with Sephora, and for the record, how many times have you seen someone with dark skin in a sephora ad? I'm not trying to start any arguments over race issues, this is just what I think and it could be miles from the truth.
