I have used almost all moisturizers that I know of, and I have still not found one which doesn't break out my skin. Right now I use Dermalogica active moist but it does nothing for my skin. I know I have to use a extremely light cream, but I can't find one who is "light enough". Anyone who have a similar problem or know a good moisturizer?
^ it works well on sensitive skin, and i've actually heard many models recommend it, too. not that that should sway you towards using it, but the models that i've heard that from do have amazing skin. and it's worked amazingly for me. i love it.
Ive tried a TON of moisturizers. My favorites are Rectifiance(chanel) and Hydra Feel (YSL). Im using two from Caudalie that I love, but I think I might go back to my Chanel one.
I suggest trying 100% pure organic Jojoba Oil. You can google it and read about the wonders of jojoba oil. In summary: It's all natural, it won't clog your pores (jojoba oil is very similar to your own sebum/oils), and it's cheap! But of course some do break out from it so test it first. It's got rave reviews in makeupalley both as a cleanser and a moisturizer. Good luck!
Has anybody seen any success with using Vaseline? It would just make sense to me that putting that on at night would lock in moisture like no other... I do it... but I have never really seen a difference in this skin, while being hydrated or not, eating healthily or not...
Vaseline's occlusive, meaning that it just forms a barrier on the skin. It doesnt penetrate the skin or let your skin breathe, potentially causing either some serious irritation or breaking out. I know people will say "I've used Vaseline and have no breakout, flawless skin, etc" but it doesnt do anything for your skin, that's just your genetics being lucky. Vaseline is worthless. Maybe for your feet, but keep it off your face.
I use Olay's basic moisturizer with an SPF of 15. It's the only inexpensive make-up product I use other than blistex. But it works!
my skin feels so soft when i put Vaseline on it before i go to bed. no residue in the morning. just soft skin.
What do you guys think about Body Shop moisturizers??Which one is the best?I may think about buying the one you choosed best..
me too it works wonders as a body moisturizer i think. I don't use it on my face; regular creams make me break out, I won't even hazard vaseline. (Although the OCM is all about oil and just makes my skin look beautiful; weird.)
has anyone tried MAC's Strobe Liqiud? I've never used mac skincare before but this sounds promising. I have oily, acne prone skin though. will it break me out/clog pores?
^ i have a feeling that the strobe liquid may make make oily skin oiler. does anyone know about this for sure?
