I have such an embarrassing problem I go to this club on a Saturday and I kid you not when I say it is the gateway into hell, it is SO HOT I could just pass out. But I don’t, I just sweat and I mean I sweat, my whole head just is soaked and I’m just appalled and want to leave. Does anyone else sweat on their heads and how do you control it? I just hate it so bad, horrible. ??

It doesn't happen to me cos i am the opposite,i sweat hardly ever,i guess i am lucky in that way^_^ but i don't think it is that horrible, try to go to another club:)

Ah logic, but this club is amazing it has the best music and the best people cant control myself.

It might be hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) or just basic overworked nerves. I suffer from the same problem and I know its caused by my overactive nervous system and sometimes I notice if I'm overworked, I don't take normal big breaths. In other words, my body might be overcharged by activities, the sun, yet I breathe as if I'm sleeping calmly. My body might not be getting enough oxygen. Well thats my problem. You mightneed to see a doctor to prescribe medication if its unbearable.

Bringing a few tissue papers with yourself can help. (that's what I do)

what about sweating armpits? Anyone ever have that problem. I use a really good deodorant but still sometime I just prespire for no reason...or if I am out at night at a club and it gets hot..it is over for my top!

I sympathize with anyone with severe sweating problems. Here's a bit of information I'll share with you.

This site basically will overall explain the problems with extreme sweating and possible cures.

If you are interested, here's a device a friend of mine swears by. I think this is a electronic device that slowly "numbs" the sweat glad to lessen its activity. The previous link talks about such product, assuming this is the product they speak about.A friend of mine paid $140 US dollars for a pair of two. However, I dont know the name of the company he purchased his from. But I think its a worse case scenario to use this type of product.

Have you tried Certain Dri? I think you can get it at pretty much any drug store (CVS, Eckerd, Walgreens, etc.). It is in a white bottle with the deodorants. You swipe it under your arms at night before bed, and I swear, within a few days, you pretty much stop prespiring everywhere. My ex-boyfriend used to swear by it. He loved it so much that he wrote a thank you letter to the company! If you want a more drastic fix, then there is always Botox, but I would try this first. It is only like 5 bucks.

Well, I don't sweat excessively anywhere on my body...but one styling trick that I use for people who do sweat excessively is I use always ultra thin maxi pads and line the inside of the armpit of the garment and that usually helps.

I've also heard that botox injections in the armpits helps...but I couldn't do that personally.

And if you sweat on your forehead...and you're in the club....just carry a stylish hankie or cloth and make it fashion statement. like softgrey's avatar says..."flaunt the imperfection" :flower:

I'd say try and drink some iced water to cool you down.

for the armpits- all you need is drysol! it is prescription, but any doctor will give you one. also- you sometimes can find it on ebay from canada. you only have to put it on overnight like once or twice a month and you don't sweat at all. you don't even need deodorant. TRUST- it is a miracle.

I think I might suffer from hyperhidrosis. I definitely think it is connected to my social anxiety, but I also sweat whenever I feel any intense emotion, such as getting very angry, very sad or very excited. Sometimes I just seem to sweat excessively for no reason. It's disgusting and humiliating and only makes my anxiety worse.

Someone mentioned a product to me that sounds like Drysol, but you don't need a prescription and it can be purchased in Europe. Does anyone have any idea what it is called? If so, please tell me. My life would be a million times better if I didn't always have to be afraid of feeling emotions in case I sprout twin Niagara falls underneath my armpits.

I have had a friend who's had botox injected in her armpits, and she used to sweat a lot for no reason. She was so happy with the results but I think after having it done a few times she decided to just stop as its a hassle to go get it done again. I am also not sure what would happen if she kept doing it her whole life. I went through a phase in my life when I had this problem as well, but that was just caused by a hormone inbalance. At that point I had to use a roll on and a spray deodorant. I also found that the harsher deodorants would make it even worse, so i opted for biotherm sensitive skin roll on and would just change my spray once in a while.

If anyone's interested, the over-the-counter anti-perspirant I've found that's the European equivalent to Certain Dri is called Syneo 5. It's a German product. I'm only aware that it can be bought in Germany, the Netherlands and Italy. It is available in more countries, but I remember it was not in pharmacies in France.
