Ezel Mustafa started his career in his native London with John Frieda, and then at Leonard in the late 80's. Ezel made legendary imagery with photography greats Helmut Newton, Mario Testino and Guy Bourdin. Now a partner at ChiroSpa in New York, Ezel is breaking back into the game at the top with a whole new energy and relaxation.
Ezel is a master of both sexy and natural hair, but he can also frequently be caught dying and cutting custom wigs and extensions for both deconstructed and harder-edged looks. In essence, Ezel loves pretty and punk rock with equal passion. Models and clients marvel at his futuristic taste and style.
Ezel enjoys working with upcoming photographers as well as those already established. He is in constant motion, creating, re-creating and honing his craft. Frequently, Ezel has the experience where an "inspirational" shot from past photo history is shown to him to dictate the hair direction – only to have to reply that it was he who had done the work in the inspired photo in the first place. Ezel carries an appreciation for past accomplishments, but feels he is as good as his last client or job. Ezel works with the combined energy of a youthful spirit and technical knowledge of a wizard.
