Factory Girl

Hang on, Hayden is supposed to be Bob Dylan? I was trying to figure out who he was supposed to be.

Yeah, this looks pretty bad - sad as the subject matter has the potential to be really interesting.

I so wanted to see this before. Now, I'm not so sure.
But then again I am obsessed with anything to do with andy warhol/the factory and I will probably see it. And probably hate it.

lol at this film
you just know it'll be utter cack

Hayden
Sienna - Ewwww.

Did anyone else see that Audrey Hepburn movie with Jennifer Love Hewitt as Audrey?
I've heard about it, but it got bad reviews and most of the stuff weren't even true according to reviews... so I never saw it.

Let us hope that this won't be a repeat of that. pleaseeeee.... haha.

I've never seen it... but seeing the dvd cover for it at Block Buster was more than enough; no need to torture my self by sitting through the actual film.

Thanks for creating this thread

With all that might have been presented as 'fashionable' in Factory Girl, it falls flat. The costumes are wretched and campy, downright ugly and completely fail to reflect the Silver Sixties embodied by Betsey Johnson. Having seen some of Factory Girl: it is simply gawwwwd awful AWful Andy Warhol ful.

The presumption that anyone made Edie do anything she did not choose to do is completely out of line. She drove her life with gusto and pizazz, laughing all the while at the glitterati who wanted to be close to her. Insinuating that she was a snob (not!), weak (hardly!), squeaky voice (ugh - soooooo bad, Sienna), and taken advantage of... I can only feel very sorry for the idiot who wrote and rewrote the lines that the Weinstein Company call dialog. They must really think the public is beyond stupid. The script is just as bad as the imagery.

This horrible little movie is certainly Hollywood at its gutter snipe worst. There is nothing independent or creative about it. No honorable film group can possibly give it any credence. And if it is even nominated for one bloody award, we should boycott the dopes permanently. Thumbs Down! Blech! :yuk:

A thread for the Sienna Miller-driven film FACTORY GIRL.

Brigid Berlin, Michael Post, and crazy man Nat Finkelstein were the only Factory/Edie's family to work on the film. They are doing this for one thing: to be known for being near Edie, and $$$. Lou Reed has put the film down, Billy Name has put the film down, David Weisman has put the film down, but most importantly, Edie's family is incredibly upset over the film.

Just had to p.s. one more comment on this: Not one member of Edie's family have ANYTHING to do with this #$)(*&#)$(*#& film. Michael Post is NOT FAMILY!!!!!

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrgh.

i desperately want this movie to be good so that my friends can appreciate Edie. but the trailer just make me want to stab something.

Yeah, i believe Hayden is Bobby Dylan. In real life, Edie and Bobby had an affair, and when he had to leave her, i guess she got pretty depressed. I think that was at least one of the reasons that led to her overdose.

BUT man, I am biased because i don't like Sienna Miller, but her accent is so BAD. And why is Andy eating during a confession? I read a biog on him and i dont' think he's THAT weird.

and lastly, WEEZER is playing as the Velvet Underground in the movie. WEEZER!!!!!!!!!!!! Ridiculous! And who is Maureen Tucker then? I wouldn't be surprised if the director didn't even know she was a woman. haha.

Well, at least i'm not alone in bashing this movie:

They are doing re-shoots now and the movie is supposed to open in a month? Not a good sign at all. This movie looks to be a trainwreck. Maybe if it flops Sienna will finally go away for good?

Weezer? That's actually kind of hilarious.

Wait, the Velvets were not really very funny. I'm starting to think that this film can't possibly exist. It's too insane!

This could have been such an amazing fashion movie, and look at it........
