Fair / Pale Skin

Thanks a lot everyone! I didn't expect comments like this, lol. I used to appreciate my light skin, but lately my friends have been pressuring me to get tan and saying pale is "sick" and stuff. So I just wanted some objective opinions to see maybe if I can enhance my color a bit. But I guess if people with REAL style think it's fine, then that's great!

Your complexion suits your hair and eye color and your natural skin color can't be "sick" looking. I think it's rude when people say things like that. It's one thing if it's someone who's naturally darker is looking paler, but it's not the same when it's your natural coloring.

^^ well the most important thing is that YOU feel comfortable in your skin ;) try not to listen too much to other people's opinions. cause everybody has a different taste / sense of style etc.
out of 10 people 10 will give you a different opinion ;) and sometimes "friendly recommendations" what you should/should not do result of envy. or some also try if it's easy to manipulate you ...

Your coloring and you yourself are gorgeous. I love dark hair, fair skin, and blue eyes -- very Snow White, or even Coco Rocha. Really hope you don't change it. Just realize, and embrace, that you have a different concept of what constitutes beauty (a better one!) ^_^

When i was blondie it was even more obvious being pale and my close up freckles..it also helped my long times in the UK... i miss it there so much...here i got some li' color but my skin is that sensitive that that means lil acne, high sensitivity to certain creams and so...ill miss the summer but here the sun is always high so its like im not saved even in winter...

I would never guess that your skin is so sensitive though, it looks great to me :) I get lots of compliments in the summer when I get a tan & my freckles come out, guys seem to have a thing for them.

i get pinky...sooo its like oh no! i find it cute when i was a child but now its like my skin gets way more damage in my face is face to face with it hahah... like i need a whole winter of products to repair ok... im a lotions junkie too hehe:blush:

Hey, I think your skin is cute, but to prevent against sun damage, redness, and future aging, you should use an SPF Moisturizer 15 with UVA protection everyday, every season, rain or shine since the UV rays are always out in the day. I probably sound like a doctor, but I research so much about them, lol. They are truly beneficial and low maintenance! =)

I have finally decided to embrace my pale skin and stop trying to tan. I got a terrible sunburn this past summer when I was living in Spain after making a really stupid decision to stay out in the sun at the pool all day. I am going to pick up a good moisturizer with sunscreen in it today.

^Aww, good for you :D I'm sure you'll still look beautiful with paler skin

Jammar190 Don't worry... Im a lotions addict :p and yeah all my lotions contain SPF every season of the year but in summer i cover my body and specially my face with a total sun protection lotion (thats why in summer i rarely use make up). Some people think im so paranoid  but i know myself and acne and more freckles can come up.
And i also read that all lotions treatment that you spend in a whole year can be useless with a month of summer face exposed... here summer is long so im lotion covered to the max. to protect me. I rather the night time in summer or the rainy days hahahaha...if not im like vampires with tons of sun protection and searching for the shadows haha:D:flower:

in Asia pale skin is considered beautiful but tanned skin is considered ugly

^Mmm... I assume you're referring to East Asia (in many parts of Asia people are generally very, very tanned). Ugly is too harsh and dismissive of a term too. People here will actually acknowledge a good looking tan. They just generally prefer to stay pale themselves.

Yeah especially in Thailand people always lighten up they believe its more beautiful. Asians with a tan aren't really much but when your a very dark asian then some people would consider them ugly and would dare go near them. It actually reminds me of this thai model.

I still think what you're saying is a bit extreme... But I understand what you mean. It's VERY true of Japanese society though. Ever heard of Ganguros?

I'm obsessed with them! It's terrifying! I've forgotten the name of the more extreme ones...mountain hags or something....

Your skin is very similar to mine color wise. What foundation do you use?

^^^WTF?!

Hope you posted that in the plastic look thread

I've noticed that my BF's family (they're from Iran) really admires my pastiness  His mum is very pale too and she never tans - she has no wrinkles, of course. Being pale is hot sh*t over there, it seems.

They think I look Russian though. I have no idea if that's true...or if Russians have a particular look. Funny :D
